Description
The Mossberg 500 Bantam Turkey Holosun 20 Ga is a shotgun chambered in 20 Gauge with a 20-inch barrel and a 5+1 capacity. It comes with a mossy oak – greenleaf barrel finish, a synthetic (mossy oak greenleaf) w/ spacer stock and front fo; holosun micro dot sights.
Mossberg 500 Bantam Turkey Holosun 20 Ga Overview
The Mossberg 500 family includes some of the best-selling pump shotguns ever made. The tang safety, dual extractors, twin action bars, and anti-jam elevator have made it a trusted choice for hunters, home defenders, and military units for decades.
Design and Features
The aluminum receiver keeps weight down, and the gun accepts a huge range of barrels, stocks, and accessories. The ambidextrous tang safety works for left- and right-handed shooters alike. This configuration has a mossy oak – greenleaf barrel finish, a synthetic (mossy oak greenleaf) w/ spacer stock, front fo; holosun micro dot sights, and X-Factor Ported Tube chokes.
Handling in the Field
The 500 family is light, quick handling, and easy to maintain. Swap barrels and chokes and the same gun can hunt birds, deer, and turkey or serve as a home-defense shotgun. Bantam and Super Bantam models have a shorter length of pull for smaller shooters.
Action and Trigger
The pump action cycles smoothly on twin action bars, and the action release sits behind the trigger guard.
Sights and Optics
Mount the optic of your choice with quality rings or a mount, and zero it with the load you plan to use.
The 20 Gauge Cartridge
The 20 gauge offers lighter recoil and a lighter gun than a 12 gauge while still handling upland birds, doves, and clays well, and buckshot and slug loads make it a capable defensive and deer gauge too.
Setup and Accessories
Set your shotgun up for its job: hunters will want a sling and a few choke tubes, clay shooters may add a recoil pad, and a home-defense setup benefits from a weapon light. Pattern every load and choke combination you plan to use.
Ownership Tips
Read the owner manual fully before your first range trip, and keep the manual, box, and receipt with your records for warranty service and resale. Unload the shotgun and confirm it is empty before cleaning. Field-strip it according to the owner manual, scrub the bore with a brush and patches, and wipe carbon from the action and choke threads. Apply a light coat of quality gun oil to the contact points, and wipe the exterior with a lightly oiled cloth before storage.
Product Notes
Shotguns are only as good as the load and choke you pair them with. Birdshot in the 7.5 to 9 range is right for clays and small upland birds, heavier shot sizes for pheasant and waterfowl, and buckshot or slugs for deer and home defense. Pattern the gun on paper at the distance you expect to shoot, and check that your shells match the chamber length stamped on the barrel.
State Laws
Magazine capacity limits, feature restrictions, and transfer rules vary by state and locality. Check your local laws before ordering, and ask your receiving dealer if you are unsure whether this configuration is legal where you live.
