Description
The CMMG Resolute Mk47 7.62×39 puts AR-15 controls and ergonomics around AK magazines and the 7.62×39 cartridge. Billet receivers, a 16.1 inch nitride barrel and an adjustable gas block make it a far more refined rifle than the AK it borrows its ammunition from.
AR Controls, AK Magazines
The Mk47 lower is billet machined specifically to accept AK and AKM pattern magazines, and the rifle ships with a Magpul 30 round AK PMAG. That means cheap, plentiful magazines and the cheapest centrefire rifle ammunition on the market.
Everything else works like an AR. The safety is a ZEROED ambidextrous selector with a 60 or 90 degree throw, the charging handle is a Mk47 specific ambidextrous unit, and the trigger is a ZEROED drop-in rather than a mil-spec assembly.
CMMG Resolute Mk47 7.62×39 Barrel and Gas
The barrel is 16.1 inches of 4140 chrome moly with a salt bath nitride finish and a 1:10 twist, threaded 5/8×24 with CMMG’s ZEROED muzzle brake fitted. Nitride is a surface treatment rather than a coating, so it hardens the bore as well as protecting it.
Gas comes from an adjustable 0.750 inch block at the carbine length position. Adjustable gas matters on a 7.62×39 AR because steel cased and brass cased ammunition produce noticeably different pressure, and it also lets you tune for a suppressor.
Handguard, Stock and Furniture
The EML15 M-LOK handguard runs 15 inches with slots at 3, 6, 9 and 12 o’clock, free floating the barrel and leaving room for a bipod, light or hand stop wherever you want it.
The stock is CMMG’s RipStock on a six position receiver extension, which deploys to a preset length in one motion and has an ambidextrous sling attachment. The grip is a ZEROED pistol grip, and the whole rifle weighs seven pounds at 33 inches overall.
Ammunition and Range
Seven six two by thirty nine is one of the cheapest centrefire rifle cartridges available, which is a large part of the appeal. A 123 grain soft point is a legitimate deer and hog load inside 200 yards, and full metal jacket practice ammunition costs a fraction of what .308 does. The 1:10 twist handles the standard bullet weights the cartridge is loaded with.

Why Buyers Choose the CMMG Resolute Mk47 7.62×39
The CMMG Resolute Mk47 7.62×39 gives you AK ammunition economics and AK magazine availability with AR ergonomics, a free float rail and a drop-in trigger. For anyone who likes the cartridge but not the AK manual of arms, it is the obvious answer.
Who Should Buy It
Shooters who want cheap centrefire practice, hog hunters at moderate range, and AR owners who already have a safe full of 5.56 rifles and want something different that still handles the same way.
Be realistic about the trade-offs. The 7.62×39 cartridge drops off quickly past 300 yards, steel cased ammunition varies enough that the adjustable gas block is more necessity than luxury, and no optic or sights are included.
