Description
The Federal 270 130gr Swift Scirocco II load is built for shooters who want more from their .270 Win than typical factory ammunition delivers. The Swift Scirocco II pairs a polymer tip and boat-tail for a high ballistic coefficient with a thick copper jacket bonded to the lead core. Buying ammunition by the box from the same production lot keeps velocity and point of impact consistent from one range trip to the next. Keep a record of the load you carry, check your ammunition for dents or loose bullets from time to time, and rotate your carry rounds so the ones in your firearm stay fresh. These simple habits help you get the full performance Federal builds into every cartridge.
Before you trust any new load, fire enough rounds through your firearm to confirm it feeds, fires and ejects reliably and that the point of impact matches your sights. Full-power loads produce more recoil and muzzle blast than typical range ammo, so practice with the Federal 270 130gr Swift Scirocco II until you are comfortable with it, and store the rest in a cool, dry place in the original box.
The .270 Winchester was introduced in 1925 and made famous by outdoor writer Jack O Connor, who championed it for decades as an ideal all-around big-game cartridge. It shoots flat, carries plenty of energy for deer, sheep and elk, and has moderate recoil, which has kept it one of the best-selling hunting cartridges in North America for nearly a century.
