Federal 270 136gr Terminal Ascent – Powerful .270 Win Long Range Hunting Ammo, 3000 fps, 20 Rounds

Description

The Federal 270 136gr Terminal Ascent load is built for shooters who want more from their .270 Win than typical factory ammunition delivers. Federal loads a 136 grain Terminal Ascent bonded polymer tip to a rated 3000 feet per second, producing about 2719 foot-pounds of energy. Federal Terminal Ascent uses a bonded, long-range hunting bullet with a SLIPSTREAM polymer tip that initiates expansion even at lower velocities far downrange, a copper shank for deep penetration and a high ballistic coefficient for flat trajectories.

Why Choose the Federal 270 136gr Terminal Ascent

• Rated 3000 fps and 2719 ft-lbs
• Brass cases with reliable primers

Built for the Hunt

• Accurate, consistent hunting performance
• Reliable feeding in bolt-action and semi-automatic rifles
• Quality brass cases and reliable primers
• Suited to a wide range of game at typical distances

Buying ammunition by the box from the same production lot keeps velocity and point of impact consistent from one range trip to the next. Keep a record of the load you carry, check your ammunition for dents or loose bullets from time to time, and rotate your carry rounds so the ones in your firearm stay fresh. These simple habits help you get the full performance Federal builds into every cartridge.

Before you trust any new load, fire enough rounds through your firearm to confirm it feeds, fires and ejects reliably and that the point of impact matches your sights. Full-power loads produce more recoil and muzzle blast than typical range ammo, so practice with the Federal 270 136gr Terminal Ascent until you are comfortable with it, and store the rest in a cool, dry place in the original box.

The .270 Winchester was introduced in 1925 and made famous by outdoor writer Jack O Connor, who championed it for decades as an ideal all-around big-game cartridge. It shoots flat, carries plenty of energy for deer, sheep and elk, and has moderate recoil, which has kept it one of the best-selling hunting cartridges in North America for nearly a century.
