Federal Speed-Shok 12ga 3in 1 Shot – Powerful High Velocity Goose Loads, 25 Rounds

Description

Federal Speed-Shok 12ga 3in 1 Shot shells are Federal’s high velocity steel load with large #1 pellets for geese and big ducks. Each 3 inch 12 gauge shell carries 1 1/8 ounces of #1 steel, about 116 pellets, at roughly 1,550 feet per second. The redesigned Speed-Shok recipe uses a high performance primer and clean burning powder that leaves far less residue in your gun. Each box holds 25 rounds.

Serious Speed With Big Pellets

Large waterfowl need large pellets. #1 steel carries substantially more energy per pellet than #2 or #4, which helps drive through heavy feathers and bone on Canada geese and big late season ducks. A lighter 1 1/8 ounce payload allows Federal to push it to a blistering 1,550 fps from a 3 inch shell.

That speed shortens the lead required on passing birds and helps pellets retain energy farther out. Many goose hunters prefer a fast load like this for pass shooting or for birds that hang just outside the decoys.

Federal redesigned Speed-Shok with a fast burning, clean propellant and a high performance primer for complete, consistent ignition. Cleaner shooting means semi-autos keep cycling through long, cold days in the field.

Field Notes and Goose Hunting Tips

Use Federal Speed-Shok 12ga 3in 1 Shot shells for Canada geese, snow geese and big ducks on pass shooting or when birds work at the edge of the spread. For close decoying ducks, a smaller shot size gives denser patterns.

Large steel pellets usually pattern best through modified or dedicated steel waterfowl chokes. Only use chokes rated for steel, and pattern your gun at 35 and 45 yards before the season.

Confirm your shotgun is chambered for 3 inch shells, plug it for migratory birds, and follow federal and state regulations. Carry your federal duck stamp and state license.

Keep shells dry and wipe down your gun after wet hunts to prevent rust on the action and choke threads.

If you hunt geese and want a fast, hard hitting steel load at a practical price, Federal Speed-Shok 12ga 3in 1 Shot shells are a proven, powerful choice. Pair them with full body decoys and a quality call.

Pass shooting geese along a flight line takes practice. Birds often look closer and slower than they are, so a fast load helps reduce the lead you need. With Federal Speed-Shok 12ga 3in 1 Shot shells, focus on picking a single bird, swinging through it smoothly and continuing your swing after the shot. Range finders or marked fence posts help you judge distance and avoid shots beyond your effective range.

Call your shots within your group to avoid two hunters taking the same bird, and mark downed birds carefully before moving to retrieve them.

Heavy 3 inch loads at high velocity produce noticeable recoil. A quality recoil pad, a properly fitted stock and a gas operated semi-auto can make a full day of goose hunting more comfortable. Practice your mount while wearing your cold weather layers so your cheek weld stays consistent when the birds arrive.
