Black Rain Carnivore 350 Legend Overview
Black Rain Ordnance builds its rifles in Neosho, Missouri, and the Carnivore line is its big bore hunting AR. The 350 Legend version gives you the light recoil and handling of an AR-15 with a cartridge made for deer, in a package that looks sharp in the woods or on the bench.
The 350 Legend Cartridge
Winchester introduced the 350 Legend in 2019 as a straight wall cartridge for states that limit deer hunters to that style of round. It pushes 150 to 180 grain bullets fast enough for clean kills on whitetails out to about 200 yards, with less recoil than a 243 and noticeably less than a 30-30. Ammunition is affordable and widely sold.
Barrel and Muzzle Brake
The 16 inch black steel barrel keeps the rifle short and handy in a tree stand or blind. The Tank muzzle brake cuts recoil and muzzle rise further, but it is loud, so wear hearing protection and warn anyone shooting next to you.
Midnight Bronze Cerakote
The aluminum upper and lower receivers are coated in Midnight Bronze Cerakote, a baked on ceramic finish that resists scratches, solvents and corrosion better than plain anodizing. The upper has a full length Picatinny top rail for a scope or red dot.
Slim M-LOK Handguard
The 15 inch slim M-LOK handguard gives a long, comfortable grip area and lets you add a sling mount, bipod or light only where you need them.
Magpul Stock and A2 Grip
The black Magpul carbine stock adjusts for length of pull, so you can shorten it with a heavy coat on or lengthen it at the bench. The A2 grip is the classic AR shape and is easy to replace if you prefer something else.
Built for Hunters
The Carnivore is a good match for hunters who want a fast follow up shot during deer season, hog hunters, and anyone who wants AR ergonomics with real knockdown power at woods ranges. Pair it with a low power variable scope for the best mix of speed and precision.
Magazines
The 350 Legend feeds from AR-15 style magazines. Black Rain includes a 20 round magazine, but many states limit how many rounds you may carry while hunting, so buy a lower capacity magazine or a limiter for the field.
State Laws
Some states ban or restrict AR-15 rifles, certain features or magazines over 10 rounds, and hunting rules on semi automatic rifles and capacity vary. We can only ship this rifle where it is legal. Pennsylvania buyers can transfer at our Collegeville shop or at any FFL.
