Zastava ZPAP92 762×39 Serbian Red Brace – Superb Folding-Brace AK

Description

The Zastava ZPAP92 762×39 Serbian Red Brace (Zastava model ZP92762TBSR) pairs the 10 inch ZPAP92 AK pistol with red Serbian furniture and an SB Tactical TF1913 triangle folding brace, so it folds compact for storage and opens for steadier shooting.

Zastava ZPAP92 762×39 Serbian Red Brace Overview

Lipsey’s lists the ZP92762TBSR with the SB Tactical TF1913 brace, a 10 inch threaded chrome-lined barrel, 19.3 inch length, 6.6 pounds and one 30-round magazine. Lipsey’s describes a black polymer pistol grip, while the photos show a red grip, so confirm the grip color on arrival. The receiver is Zastava’s 1.5mm dimpled design with a bulged trunnion and a bolt hold-open notch on the selector.

TF1913 Triangle Brace

The TF1913 is a triangle-style folding brace that mounts to a picatinny section at the rear of the receiver. Folded, the pistol is easy to store in a small case. Opened, it gives a much steadier hold. Brace rules have changed repeatedly; the 2023 ATF brace rule was vacated by a federal court in 2024, but verify current federal and state law.

Folded Operation

Check whether the folded brace blocks the selector or the magazine release on your example, and practice running the pistol both folded and open. A folding design adds a hinge, so inspect it for wear periodically.

Red Furniture

The Serbian red handguard gives the military Yugo look that many buyers want. Color varies piece to piece, and wood needs a wipe after wet days. Red furniture paired with a modern brace is one of the more distinctive ZPAP92 setups.

Range Notes

A 10 inch 7.62×39 is loud with strong flash, so wear good hearing protection and warn people next to you. Recoil is modest thanks to the weight. Velocity is lower than a 16 inch rifle, which shortens practical range.

Feeding and Magazines

Standard AK-47 pattern 30-round magazines work, but fit in Zastava magazine wells can vary with brand. Test new magazines with a full load and keep the ones that seat and drop cleanly.

State Laws and Ownership

AK-pattern pistols are banned or heavily restricted in California, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, Illinois, Washington, Delaware, Colorado and some cities, and many of those states also cap magazines. Pennsylvania has no assault weapon ban or magazine limit, and handgun transfers run through the PICS check. Check your state and local rules and confirm with your receiving FFL before ordering.
