Winchester SX4 Cantilever Buck 20ga 22 Overview
The Super X4 is the Winchester flagship autoloader, running on the Active Valve gas system for soft recoil and reliable cycling with everything from light target loads to heavy magnums. This version is the SX4 Cantilever Buck.
Barrel and Chokes
The 22 inch barrel has a matte finish and a fiber optic front sight. The 3 inch chamber handles standard and 3 inch loads.
Action
The Active Valve gas system meters gas so light loads cycle and heavy loads are softened, and the recoil pad helps keep felt recoil manageable. The magazine holds 4, 2 3/4 shells.
Stock and Fit
The composite stock has a satin finish and textured grip panels grip panels. Winchester lists a 14 1/4 inch length of pull and a Inflex 2 recoil pad.
Key Features
Winchester builds the SX4 Cantilever Buck for years of hard use.
The 20 gauge
The 20 gauge is lighter to carry and kicks less than a 12, yet with modern loads it handles upland birds, doves and even ducks.
Upland Birds and Waterfowl
This shotgun is at home on upland birds, doves and waterfowl, and it is fine for a round of clays. Check federal and state rules on shot type and magazine capacity for waterfowl.
Buying Tips
Pattern your gun with each choke and load before the season, and pick up extra choke tubes if you hunt different birds.
Care and Value
Wipe the gun down after wet hunts and clean the barrel and chokes regularly. Winchester shotguns hold their value well.
State Laws
Shotguns are legal in every state, though hunting rules and magazine limits vary. Pennsylvania buyers can transfer at our Collegeville shop or at any FFL.
