Wilson Combat SFX9 SC 9mm Optic Ready – Elite Carry Pistol

Description

The Wilson Combat SFX9 SC 9mm Optic Ready is the sub-compact version of Wilson’s double stack 9mm 1911. It has a 3.25 inch match grade barrel, an optic ready slide, a one piece T6-7075 aluminum solid frame with X-Tac tread grip texture, a flat backstrap, a medium length trigger, and ships with 10 and 15 round magazines.

Wilson Combat SFX9 SC 9mm Optic Ready Overview

Wilson Combat has built some of the finest custom 1911 pistols in the world since 1977, and the SFX9 brings that craftsmanship to a slim, high capacity carry gun. The SF (Solid Frame) is machined from a single piece of T6-7075 aluminum, so the grip is thin and comfortable while still holding a double stack magazine. On the sub-compact model the short grip and 3.25 inch slide make it easy to conceal, yet the 1911 style trigger and low bore axis give full size control. Wilson backs the SFX9 with a 1.5 inch accuracy guarantee at 25 yards.

Optic Ready Slide

The slide is cut for a red dot, so you can add a modern carry optic for faster sight acquisition while keeping a crisp, clean sight picture.

Solid Frame and X-Tac Grip

The one piece 7075 aluminum frame keeps weight down to about 25 ounces empty, and Wilson’s X-Tac tread texture locks the gun into your hand without being abrasive against your side.

Sub-Compact Carry

At 6.75 inches long and 4.5 inches tall, the SFX9 SC is easy to hide inside the waistband. Use the 10 round flush magazine for maximum concealment or the 15 round magazine for more capacity and a full grip.

Wilson Combat Quality

Every SFX9 is assembled and test fired by Wilson Combat and carries a 1.5 inch accuracy guarantee at 25 yards, the kind of standard you expect from a premium custom shop.

Practice and Training

Regular practice builds confidence and safe handling. Start at close range, focus on sight alignment and a smooth trigger press, and work back as your groups tighten. Dry fire with snap caps at home to improve your trigger control between range trips.

Choosing Ammunition

Try several brands and bullet weights to see what feeds reliably and groups best in your handgun. Use quality full metal jacket loads for practice and proven hollow points for defense, and confirm reliable function with your defensive load before carrying it.

Care and Maintenance

Clean the barrel, slide or cylinder and frame after shooting, apply a light coat of quality lubricant to moving parts, and store the handgun unloaded in a locked case or safe away from children.

Safe Storage

Store handguns unloaded in a locked safe, lockbox or with a cable lock, and keep ammunition separate when children are in the home. Quick access safes keep a defensive handgun secure but available. Teach everyone in the household basic firearm safety rules.

Recommended Accessories

A quality holster, spare magazines, eye and ear protection and a cleaning kit round out any handgun purchase. For defensive use, add a weapon light and practice drawing safely from your holster with an unloaded gun before carrying.
