Larger objectives, bulky turrets or heavy-contour barrels may need the high or extra-high Grand Slam rings instead. Check clearance between the objective bell and the barrel, and between the eyepiece and the bolt handle, before final tightening.
Installation Tips
Degrease the ring screws and base screws before installation and use a small drop of medium thread locker on the base screws only. Lap the rings if your scope shows ring marks or if the scope tube does not sit perfectly in line; steel rings take lapping well. Level the reticle to the rifle before final torque so your holdovers and windage adjustments track true.
Honest Limitations
These rings are for one-inch tubes only and will not fit 30mm or 34mm scopes. Steel adds weight compared to aluminum, so ultralight builds may prefer an alloy ring. They do not offer a quick-detach lever, so removing the scope means removing the cap screws and re-checking zero afterward.
