A Magnum You Can Actually Carry

Spiral Fluted Barrel and Bolt
The 26-inch barrel is spiral fluted, which removes mass and increases surface area for cooling while keeping more stiffness than straight flutes would. The bolt body is spiral fluted to match, both for looks and to give fouling somewhere to go. The muzzle is threaded and wears an Accubrake ST, which takes a genuine bite out of 300 PRC recoil.
300 PRC Ballistics
The 300 PRC was designed from the start around long, heavy, high-BC .30 calibre bullets seated out where they belong. From a 26-inch barrel it drives 212 to 225 grain projectiles at velocities that hold supersonic well beyond a thousand yards. For elk, moose and open-country mule deer, it is about as much cartridge as most hunters will ever need.
Peak 44 Bastion Carbon Fiber Stock
The Bastion stock is one of the lightest production vertical-grip carbon fiber stocks available at 23 ounces, with an ambidextrous palm swell and a deep thumb groove. Exposed carbon fiber is accented in brown and backpack sponge patterns. Dual sling studs on the forend let you carry the Weatherby Mark V High Country on a sling with a bipod already fitted.
Nine-Lug Mark V Magnum Action
Weatherby’s magnum action uses nine locking lugs and a 54-degree bolt lift, the shortest throw in production. Less bolt rotation means more scope clearance and a faster follow-up shot without breaking your cheek weld. The receiver is finished in Graphite Black Cerakote and comes drilled and tapped for bases.
TriggerTech Trigger and Sub-MOA Guarantee
A TriggerTech trigger provides a zero-creep break with minimal overtravel and external adjustment. Like every Mark V, this rifle carries Weatherby’s sub-MOA guarantee for a three-shot group at 100 yards from a cold barrel with quality ammunition.
