Description
The Weatherby Element II Compact 20 Ga is a shotgun chambered in 20 Gauge with a 24-inch barrel.

Weatherby Element II Compact 20 Ga Overview
The Weatherby Element II Upland Compact brings the Element II inertia-driven semi-auto to smaller-framed shooters in a 20-gauge configuration. The shorter length of pull makes it a fine first upland gun. Fit matters more with a shotgun than with almost any other firearm, because you point it rather than aim it. Check that the stock length lets you mount the gun smoothly with your eye centered over the rib, and pattern the gun with the chokes and loads you plan to use.
A few trips to the trap or sporting clays field before the season will sharpen your swing and help you learn how the gun handles.
Design and Features
The stock is oil-rubbed walnut, and the receiver, barrel and rib have a two-tone finish. The gun comes with Improved Cylinder, Modified and Full choke tubes.

Handling in the Field
The inertia system keeps the action clean and reliable, and the light 20-gauge is easy to carry all day behind dogs.
Action and Trigger
The trigger group drops out for cleaning, and the cross-bolt safety is easy to reach.

Sights and Optics
A ventilated rib and front bead give a fast, clear sight picture for moving targets.
The 20 Gauge Cartridge
The 20 Gauge offers a good balance of power, accuracy, and recoil for its intended use.
Setup and Accessories
Set your shotgun up for its job: hunters will want a sling and a few choke tubes, clay shooters may add a recoil pad, and a home-defense setup benefits from a weapon light. Pattern every load and choke combination you plan to use.
Ownership Tips
Read the owner’s manual fully before your first range trip, and keep the manual, box, and receipt with your records for warranty service and resale. Unload the shotgun and confirm it is empty before cleaning. Field-strip it according to the owner’s manual, scrub the bore with a brush and patches, and wipe carbon from the action and choke threads. Apply a light coat of quality gun oil to the contact points, and wipe the exterior with a lightly oiled cloth before storage.
