It weighs about 6.8 pounds and holds 3 rounds in a detachable AICS style magazine plus one in the chamber.

Weatherby 307 Alpine MDT 25 Creedmoor Overview
The Model 307 is the newest Weatherby action, made in Sheridan, Wyoming, and it is the most open platform Weatherby has built: it works with most aftermarket parts made for the Remington 700 footprint. The Alpine MDT pairs that action with a purpose built hunting chassis, so you get chassis rifle features like V-block bedding and an adjustable stock in a package light enough to carry up a mountain.
The Model 307 Action
The 307 uses a three piece bolt that comes apart without tools for cleaning in the field, and an M16 style extractor for positive extraction and ejection. A PEAK 44 Picatinny rail comes on the receiver, ready for scope rings. Because the action follows the 700 footprint, triggers, bottom metal and many other parts are easy to find.

Spiral Fluted Barrel and Accubrake
The 22 inch barrel is spiral fluted to shave weight, add stiffness and help it cool between shots, and it has a sporter contour. The Accubrake screws onto 1/2-28 threads and cuts felt recoil by as much as 53 percent according to Weatherby. Brakes are loud, so use hearing protection and expect more blast to the side. Remove the brake to mount a suppressor where legal.
MDT HNT26 Chassis
The HNT26 chassis weighs only 26 ounces, with a magnesium alloy center section, carbon fiber forend, carbon fiber pistol grip and carbon fiber buttstock. The comb and length of pull both adjust, so the rifle can be set up for your face and your scope. The buttstock folds for packing and storage, and the forend has a built in ARCA rail for clamping straight onto a tripod.

TriggerTech Trigger
The TriggerTech field trigger has a zero creep break and very short over travel. It adjusts externally down to about 2.5 pounds, and its stainless internal parts resist corrosion. A two position safety sits in the usual place behind the bolt.
25 Creedmoor Cartridge
The 25 Creedmoor fires long, high ballistic coefficient 25 caliber bullets from a short action case. With a fast 1:7.5 twist this rifle stabilizes heavy match and hunting bullets such as 128 to 134 grain loads, which buck the wind well and carry plenty of energy for deer and antelope at long range. Recoil is mild, and the brake makes it milder still.
Accuracy Guarantee
Weatherby guarantees every Model 307 to shoot a three shot group of 0.99 inch or less at 100 yards, a sub-MOA promise, from a cold barrel with Weatherby or premium factory ammunition, for two years from the verified purchase date for the original owner.
Mounting a Scope
The PEAK 44 rail is ready for Picatinny rings. Pick rings tall enough to clear the barrel and use the adjustable comb to line your eye up with the scope. A lightweight 3 to 15 or 4 to 16 power scope suits this rifle well.
State Laws
Some states restrict muzzle brakes, threaded barrels or folding stocks, and hunting rules on calibers vary. We can only ship this rifle where it is legal. Pennsylvania buyers can transfer at our Collegeville shop or at any FFL.
