Description
The Weatherby 307 Alpine CT 25 WBY RPM is a lightweight, American-made bolt-action hunting rifle that pairs a 22-inch carbon fiber barrel with a vertical-grip carbon stock. At about 6.3 pounds, it delivers the flat-shooting speed of the 25 Weatherby RPM cartridge in a rifle you can carry up a mountain all day.

Weatherby 307 Alpine CT 25 WBY RPM Overview
Weatherby built the Model 307 action to complement its famous Mark V and Vanguard lines. It is a two-lug, fully cylindrical action with a footprint compatible with many aftermarket stocks, triggers, rails, and mounts, so the rifle can grow with you. The Alpine CT version teams the 307 with a Peak 44 Bastion carbon stock that weighs only about 24 ounces, a BSF carbon barrel, and a self-timing muzzle brake. Weatherby kept the barrels shorter than its traditional offerings to keep the rifle handy in timber and quick to swing on a moving animal.
25 Weatherby RPM Cartridge
The 25 Weatherby RPM (Rebated Precision Magnum) was designed to give magnum-like velocity from a standard-length action without the bulk and recoil of a belted magnum. It shoots flat, carries energy well at distance, and is a strong choice for deer, pronghorn, and similar game. The tradeoff is ammunition: factory loads are made mainly by Weatherby, so expect higher cost and fewer choices at the local store than common calibers such as 270 Win or 6.5 Creedmoor. Reloaders will find brass available, which helps keep long-term costs in check.

Carbon Barrel and Accubrake DST
The barrel wraps a steel core in carbon fiber, which saves weight while helping the barrel stay stiff and dissipate heat. It is threaded 5/8-24 and ships with the Weatherby Accubrake DST, a directional self-timing brake that tames recoil from such a light rifle. The brake does make the rifle noticeably louder for you and anyone beside you, so always wear hearing protection. The thread lets you swap in a suppressor later, though suppressors are NFA items that require an approved ATF Form 4 and must be legal in your state.
Ultralight Carbon Stock
The stock features exposed carbon fiber with brown accents, a near-vertical grip for a consistent hold, and a 3D-Hex recoil pad that softens the kick. Length of pull is 13.25 inches, which suits most adult shooters with hunting clothing on. Because it is so light, the rifle is easy to carry but takes a little more discipline to hold steady offhand, so practice from field positions before your hunt.

Trigger, Bolt and Optics Mounting
An externally adjustable TriggerTech field trigger gives a crisp, clean break you can tune without taking the action out of the stock. The bolt features a tool-less disassembly design for easy field cleaning and an M16-style extractor for positive extraction. A Picatinny rail comes installed, so mounting a scope is simple with a quality set of rings.
Finish and Weather Resistance
The receiver and brake wear Chocolate Brown Cerakote, while the bolt and bolt knob are finished in Graphite Black Cerakote. Cerakote resists moisture, scratches, and corrosion far better than traditional bluing, which makes this rifle well suited to wet, rugged hunts.
Care and Maintenance
Clean the bore with a carbon-safe cleaning rod and avoid clamping the carbon barrel in a vise. Keep the brake ports clean, since fouling builds up there quickly, and check scope ring screws before each season.
State Laws
A few states regulate muzzle brakes, threaded barrels, or the use of certain calibers for hunting. Check your local rules before ordering, and your receiving FFL dealer can help confirm the rifle is legal where you live.
