Description
Underwood Xtreme Hunter 357 Mag 120gr ammunition from Underwood (Xtreme Hunter) loads a 120 grain Solid Monolithic in 357 Magnum. Each box holds 20 rounds.
Built for Handgun Hunting
This load pairs a 120 grain Solid Monolithic with the 357 Magnum, a combination aimed at hunters who carry a handgun or a pistol-caliber carbine for deer, hogs and similar game at close range.
Handgun hunting rewards careful bullet choice. A bullet built to expand at handgun velocities while still penetrating deeply gives you the best chance at a quick, clean harvest.
Practice with Underwood Xtreme Hunter 357 Mag 120gr enough to know your effective range. For most hunters that is well inside 100 yards with a handgun.

Handgun Hunting Tips
Use Underwood Xtreme Hunter 357 Mag 120gr only in firearms chambered for 357 Magnum.
Sight in with this exact load from a rest before the season.
Keep shots close and wait for a broadside angle.
Check your state regulations for handgun hunting, caliber and minimum energy requirements.
Underwood Xtreme Hunter 357 Mag 120gr is a rugged choice for shooters who want a ready-made handgun hunting ammo from a known maker.
Recoil and practice
Magnum handgun loads recoil hard. Practice from field positions such as shooting sticks or a seated rest so you can shoot this load accurately.
Revolver crimp
In revolvers, check that bullets in the remaining chambers have not moved forward under recoil after the first few shots.
Carbine use
The same load can perform differently from a carbine barrel than from a handgun. Confirm your zero and point of impact in each firearm you use.
Reading the box
The box lists the caliber, bullet weight and bullet type. Always match the cartridge to the caliber stamped on your firearm’s barrel or slide, and never fire ammunition that is not specified for your firearm.
About Underwood
Underwood Xtreme Hunter 357 Mag 120gr comes from Underwood, and the specifications listed here follow the maker’s and our distributor’s published data for this item. Compare loads by bullet weight, bullet type and intended use to find the best fit for your firearm.
Buying the right amount
When you find a load that performs well, buy enough for practice and the full season at once. Ammunition from the same lot tends to perform the same, which keeps your results consistent.
Safety first
Always treat every firearm as loaded, keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction and keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot. Wear eye and ear protection every time you shoot.
Understanding bullet weight
Heavier bullets in a given caliber usually leave the muzzle slower but carry momentum well and resist wind drift, while lighter bullets shoot faster and flatter at shorter ranges. Neither is better in every case; the right choice depends on the game, the distance and your firearm.
Choosing the right load
Start with the job you need the ammunition to do, whether that is hunting, target shooting or practice. Then match the load to that job, and finally test a few boxes in your own firearm, because every barrel has its preferences.
