Description
The Trijicon Suppressor Sights Orange Front set is the configuration that tries to have it both ways, and largely succeeds. An orange ringed green tritium front blade, and a rear blade that is painted black in daylight but still carries its own green tritium lamps for darkness. Part GL201-C-601134.
Blacked Out By Day, Three Lamps By Night
In daylight the rear blade is plain black. Nothing back there competes for your attention, so the eye goes straight to the orange front ring and stays there. That is the front sight focus most instructors are trying to train into people.
After dark the rear lamps light up and you get a full three point sight picture with real alignment, not just a floating front sight. The Trijicon Suppressor Sights Orange Front set gives you the daylight discipline of a blacked out rear without giving up the night capability of a three lamp set.
Where This Sits In The Range
Trijicon builds four sensible arrangements of this suppressor height blade and it is worth knowing which is which. A plain metal rear with no lamp at all gives you one glowing point and nothing to confuse it with. A three lamp set with white rings front and rear gives you the conventional picture day and night.
Coloured rear lamps, yellow or orange, keep three lamps but make the front unmistakable. And then there is this one. The Trijicon Suppressor Sights Orange Front set keeps the rear lamps but hides them in daylight, which is the arrangement a lot of experienced shooters end up preferring once they have tried the others.
Why Orange Up Front
Orange sits opposite green on the colour wheel, so it separates strongly from grass, foliage, trees and hillsides, and it stands clear of blued and black steel. For outdoor and rural shooting it is the colour least likely to disappear on you.
Where it struggles is autumn foliage and orange range furniture. If your shooting is mostly indoors against dark targets, a white or yellow front ring reads better, and Trijicon builds the Trijicon Suppressor Sights Orange Front arrangement in those colours too.

Suppressor And Optic Height
Overall front blade height is four hundred and eighteen thousandths of an inch and the rear is four hundred and fifty one. That is well above factory height, which is what lets the blades clear a suppressor body or appear inside the window of a slide mounted red dot rather than below it.
As backup irons behind an optic the Trijicon Suppressor Sights Orange Front set is a strong choice. The blacked out rear keeps the sight picture quiet so it does not clutter the glass, and the rear lamps are still there if the dot fails after dark.
Why Shooters Choose The Trijicon Suppressor Sights Orange Front Set
- Blacked out rear in daylight for a clean front sight focus
- Rear tritium lamps still give full alignment after dark
- Orange front ring that separates well outdoors
- Suppressor and optic height blades that co witness through most pistol red dots
- Tight 0.15 in. square rear notch
- Covers nearly the whole standard frame Glock lineup
Notch Geometry
The front blade is one hundred and forty four thousandths wide inside a square rear notch of one hundred and fifty, leaving six thousandths of light either side. That is a precise picture that shows clearly when the front sight is centred and makes a sloppy index obvious.
It is the deliberate end of the scale rather than the fast and forgiving end. On a full size Glock the Trijicon Suppressor Sights Orange Front set will hold a tight group at twenty five yards, which is the point of cutting a notch this narrow.
Tritium Construction
Every lamp sits in an aluminium cylinder, cushioned in silicone rubber against recoil and capped with a sapphire jewel that spreads the glow evenly while shielding the lamp from bore solvent and from a slipped punch during cleaning.
Tritium is self powered, so there is no battery, no switch and nothing to charge. It dims slowly across roughly a decade, which means the Trijicon Suppressor Sights Orange Front set will outlast most of the rounds the pistol will ever fire before the lamps need attention.
Check The Height Before You Order
These are suppressor and optic height blades, not factory height. On a pistol with irons only and no can they sit noticeably higher than standard and may catch a tight holster mouth. Buy them if you run a suppressor or have a red dot in a milled slide.
The rear dovetail wants a proper sight pusher and the front is a hex nut torqued from inside the slide with thread locker. A gunsmith will fit the Trijicon Suppressor Sights Orange Front set in minutes. Browse the rest of our optics and sights and read the manufacturer specification page for the complete fit list.
