Traditions Outfitter G3 300 BLK Overview
The Outfitter G3 is a Traditions single shot rifle. A single shot is simple, light and safe, and it teaches careful shooting.
Action and Controls
The Outfitter G3 is a single shot rifle with a break open action. It holds 1rd rounds. The trigger is Elite XT. The safety is hammer/trigger block. This is a right hand model.
Barrel
The 16.50 inch barrel is chrome moly steel with a fluted threaded profile and a 1:7″ twist.
Stock and Fit
The stock is synthetic with a black finish. The length of pull is 13″. Metal surfaces wear Stainless Cerakote.
Size and Handling
It weighs about Drilled & Tapped. A steady rest, a good sling and practice from field positions will help you shoot it well.
Ammo and Practice
Try a few brands and bullet weights to see what groups best in this rifle, then buy enough of that load to practice and hunt with the same ammo.
The 300 Blackout
The 300 Blackout fits standard AR magazines and runs well with both supersonic and subsonic loads, which makes it popular for suppressed shooting.
Deer Hunting and More
This rifle suits deer hunting and, depending on caliber, hogs, black bear and other game. Confirm your zero before the season and know your effective range.
Optics and Accessories
Plan on quality scope rings or mounts, a sling, a hard or soft case and a cleaning kit. A bipod or shooting sticks help a lot for steady shots in the field or at the bench.
Buying Tips
Budget for quality optics or sights, a sling and ammo, and confirm your zero at the distances you expect to shoot.
Care and Value
Clean the bore and action after each range trip or hunt, keep moving parts lightly oiled and wipe the finish after handling. A well kept Traditions holds its value.
State Laws
Some states limit semi-auto features, magazine capacity and hunting calibers. Check your local law before you buy. Pennsylvania buyers can transfer at our Collegeville shop or at any FFL.
