Description
The Tisas PX-9 Tactical Raptor 9mm is the long-slide, black-finished Raptor version of Tisas’s striker-fired PX-9. It is built for shooters who want a longer barrel and slide for steadier sighting and a little more velocity, plus an optics cut and high-capacity magazines straight from the box.
Tisas PX-9 Tactical Raptor 9mm Overview
Tisas, a Turkish arms maker with decades of handgun production, designed the PX-9 as an affordable full-featured polymer pistol. The Tactical Raptor uses the long Tactical slide with Raptor-series styling. Lipsey’s lists the barrel at 4.5 inches and overall length at 8.2 inches, with a weight of about one and a half pounds. It ships with one 18-round and one 20-round magazine, a fiber optic front sight, a serrated rear, interchangeable grip panels and a lockable hard case.
Long-Slide Handling
A longer slide adds weight out front, which dampens muzzle flip, and it lengthens the sight radius for more precise iron-sight shooting. The cost is size: at over eight inches long, this is a range, competition and home-defense pistol, not a comfortable concealed carry gun. Holsters for long-slide PX-9s are a niche item, so confirm fit before you buy a rig.
Sights and Optics
The fiber optic front post is bright in daylight and easy to pick up quickly, though fiber optics do not glow in true darkness the way tritium does. For low light, add a weapon light or mount a red dot. The slide is cut for the RMR footprint, so a Trijicon RMR, Holosun 507C or similar optic bolts on directly once you source the right screws.
Grip and Ergonomics
Interchangeable grip panels let you tune the grip size for your hand, which matters on a double-stack 9mm with a wide frame. Take a few minutes on the first range trip to try the options; a proper fit improves trigger reach and recoil control more than most accessories. The tactical trigger has a blade safety and no manual thumb safety.
Magazines and Reliability
Twenty rounds in the magazine is a lot of shooting between reloads. Like most new pistols, the PX-9 benefits from a break-in period of a few hundred rounds of quality full-power ammunition. Keep the magazines clean and avoid storing them in a damp range bag. Spare PX-9 magazines can be harder to find than mainstream patterns, so buy extras when they are available.
Store Listing Note
Our earlier listing described a 5.1-inch barrel; distributor specifications for this UPC show 4.5 inches with an 8.2-inch overall length. We list the distributor figures here and will confirm the exact configuration on request before shipping.
State Laws and Ownership
The 18- and 20-round magazines are not legal to possess or sell in several states, including California, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Illinois, Washington and Colorado, and a handful of places also restrict threaded barrels or require roster approval for new handguns. Check your state and local rules before ordering; we cannot ship to a buyer whose jurisdiction prohibits the configuration.

Before You Buy
Federal law requires handgun buyers to be at least 21 years old to purchase from a licensed dealer, and every pistol we sell ships to a local FFL for a background check and transfer. Long-slide pistols are bulky; plan on range or home use rather than everyday concealment.
Who It Is For
The Tisas PX-9 Tactical Raptor 9mm is a great fit for range shooters and practical competitors who want a long, optics-ready 9mm with high capacity at a sensible price.
