Tisas 1911A1 Tanker 45 ACP Commander – Classic 1911 Pistol

Description

The Tisas 1911A1 Tanker 45 ACP Commander is a commander size 1911A1 pistol in 45 ACP with a 4.25 inch barrel, a black Cerakote finish and upgraded fixed sights. Tisas model 10100113 keeps the classic GI 1911A1 lines while adding a few limited enhancements, and it ships with two 7 round magazines.

Tisas 1911A1 Tanker 45 ACP Commander Overview

Tisas builds its 1911s in Turkey from forged steel and has earned a reputation for delivering a lot of pistol for the money. 25 inch commander length, which makes it easier to carry and quicker to point while keeping the soft shooting feel of an all steel 45. The steel slide and frame wear a durable black Cerakote finish that resists corrosion and wear, and the single action trigger gives you the crisp, short pull 1911s are known for.

Fixed sights are upgraded over the tiny GI style sights for a clearer sight picture, and textured grips give you a secure hold. The pistol uses the familiar 1911 controls, with a thumb safety and grip safety, and it field strips like any other 1911, so parts, holsters and magazines are easy to find.

Why a Commander 1911

The 4.25 inch commander length was originally developed to give officers a lighter, handier 1911. It balances easy carry with enough sight radius and weight to keep recoil comfortable, which makes it one of the most popular 1911 sizes for concealed carry and home defense.

The 45 ACP Cartridge

The 45 ACP has been a trusted defensive cartridge for more than a century. Heavy 230 grain bullets hit hard with a recoil impulse that feels like a firm push rather than a sharp snap, especially in an all steel 1911.

Care and Upgrades

Keep the slide rails lightly lubricated and clean the barrel and feed ramp regularly. Because the Tanker follows the 1911A1 pattern, you can easily add aftermarket grips, sights and other upgrades as your needs change.

Practice and Training

Regular practice builds confidence and safe handling. Start at close range, focus on sight alignment and a smooth trigger press, and work back as your groups tighten. Dry fire with snap caps at home to improve your trigger control between range trips.

Choosing Ammunition

Try several brands and bullet weights to see what feeds reliably and groups best in your handgun. Use quality full metal jacket loads for practice and proven hollow points for defense, and confirm reliable function with your defensive load before carrying it.

Care and Maintenance

Clean the barrel, slide or cylinder and frame after shooting, apply a light coat of quality lubricant to moving parts, and store the handgun unloaded in a locked case or safe away from children.

Safe Storage

Store handguns unloaded in a locked safe, lockbox or with a cable lock, and keep ammunition separate when children are in the home. Quick access safes keep a defensive handgun secure but available. Teach everyone in the household basic firearm safety rules.

Recommended Accessories

A quality holster, spare magazines, eye and ear protection and a cleaning kit round out any handgun purchase. For defensive use, add a weapon light and practice drawing safely from your holster with an unloaded gun before carrying.
