Tikka T3x Ace Target 6.5 CM 26 Inch Overview
Tikka rifles are built in Finland by Sako, and the T3x line has earned a worldwide reputation for accuracy, with Tikka backing its rifles with a one-MOA accuracy guarantee. The T3x action has a smooth two-lug bolt, a short bolt throw, a detachable magazine, and a modular stock system.
Design and Features
Key features include: Heavy barrel eliminates vibration and withstands heating resulting in superior accuracy. High-quality, durable materials withstand harsh environments in competition. Adjustable ergonomics and a two-stage trigger ensure superior comfort and control. Modular design allows easy addition of various accessories.
Handling in the Field
The T3x is light enough to carry all day and steady enough for long shots, which is why it is a favorite of hunters around the world.
Action and Trigger
The adjustable single-stage trigger breaks cleanly, and the bolt runs so smoothly that follow-up shots come quickly.
Sights and Optics
Mount the optic of your choice with quality rings or a mount, and zero it with the load you plan to use.
The 6.5 Creedmoor Cartridge
The 6.5 Creedmoor is known for long-range accuracy, a flat trajectory, and modest recoil, with plenty of energy for deer-size game.
Setup and Accessories
Start with a quality optic and solid rings or a mount, then add a sling for carrying and a bipod or shooting bag for steady rests. Test a few loads for accuracy and settle on the one your rifle likes best. A hard case protects your investment on the way to the range or the field.
Ownership Tips
Read the owner manual fully before your first range trip, and keep the manual, box, and receipt with your records for warranty service and resale. Unload the rifle and confirm it is empty before cleaning. Field-strip it according to the owner manual, scrub the bore with a brush and patches, and wipe carbon from the bolt face and chamber. Apply a light coat of quality gun oil to the contact points, and wipe the exterior with a lightly oiled cloth before storage.
State Laws
Magazine capacity limits, feature restrictions, and transfer rules vary by state and locality. Check your local laws before ordering, and ask your receiving dealer if you are unsure whether this configuration is legal where you live.
Ordering and Transfer
When you order a firearm from MAG5 Firearms, we ship it to the licensed dealer you choose. Your dealer completes the ATF Form 4473 and the background check, and may charge a transfer fee. Local buyers can complete the transfer at our shop. Bring a valid ID, and check your state waiting period before you plan a hunt or a range trip.
Safe Storage
Store the firearm unloaded in a locked safe or case, with ammunition kept separately. A cable lock or trigger lock is a good backup, especially in a home with children or visitors. Keep the original box and paperwork, and record the serial number in a safe place in case the gun is ever lost or stolen.
Your First Range Trip
Mount your optic, bore sight it, then fire your first groups at 25 yards before moving to 100. Let the barrel cool between strings, and record your zero and the load you used. Wear eye and ear protection, keep the muzzle in a safe direction, and clean the bore when you get home.
