Taylor’s & Company has imported faithful reproductions of classic American firearms for decades, most of them built by Uberti and Pietta in Italy, and many feature Taylor’s own action tuning for smoother operation. The Stallion is a compact single action revolver with a steel backstrap and trigger guard. Revolvers remain popular because they are simple to operate and very forgiving. There is no slide to rack and no magazine to seat, and a misfire is cleared by simply pulling the trigger again.
The trade-off is capacity and reload speed, so a few speedloaders or moon clips are worth adding. Practice the double action trigger pull regularly, because a smooth, steady press is the key to accuracy with any wheelgun.
Design and Features
The single action design uses a loading gate and ejector rod, a case-hardened or color-finished frame on many versions, and walnut or checkered grips.
