Description
The Taurus GX4 TORO 9mm Viridian is a pistol chambered in 9mm and a 10+1 capacity.
Taurus GX4 TORO 9mm Viridian Overview
The Taurus GX4 is a micro-compact 9mm pistol that holds 11+1 rounds in a flush magazine. It is built for concealed carry, with a slim width and a short barrel.
Design and Features
The GX4 has a smooth, flat-faced trigger, a polymer frame with an interchangeable backstrap, and a stainless steel slide with a durable finish. T.O.R.O. versions are cut for optics.
Handling and Carry
The GX4 is easy to conceal and holds more rounds than most single-stack pistols its size.
Trigger and Controls
The trigger is smooth and predictable, and the controls are easy to reach without shifting your grip.
Sights and Optics
The factory sights give a clear, quick sight picture, and an optic-ready slide (where fitted) lets you add a red dot whenever you are ready.
The 9mm Cartridge
The 9mm Luger is the most popular handgun cartridge in the world. It offers manageable recoil, good capacity, and a huge selection of affordable practice and defensive ammunition.
Setup and Accessories
A good holster is the most important accessory for any carry pistol. Choose one that covers the trigger guard completely and holds the gun securely, then add a sturdy gun belt, spare magazines, and a weapon light if the frame has a rail. Practice drawing and reloading with an unloaded gun until it feels natural.
Ownership Tips
Read the owner’s manual fully before your first range trip, and keep the manual, box, and receipt with your records for warranty service and resale. Unload the pistol and confirm it is empty before cleaning. Field-strip it according to the owner’s manual, scrub the bore with a brush and patches, and wipe carbon from the breech face and slide rails. Apply a light coat of quality gun oil to the contact points, and wipe the exterior with a lightly oiled cloth before storage.
