Description
The Swampfox Sentinel II 3 MOA Blackout is a micro red dot for slim carry pistols with a 3 MOA red dot and a blacked out rear sight notch. The Sentinel II is built for subcompact and micro compact carry guns, where every ounce and every bit of width matters.

Swampfox Sentinel II 3 MOA Blackout Overview
Swampfox lists the Sentinel II at just under 1 oz and about 1.84 x 1.07 x 1.07 in. The housing is 7075-T6 aluminum, the 20mm window is about 20mm wide by 17mm tall, and the 3 MOA dot covers about three inches at 100 yards. Windage and elevation adjust in 1 MOA clicks with about 80 MOA of total travel. The lens has anti-fog, hydrophobic and anti-scratch coatings, and the sight is parallax free at typical shooting distances.
The Reticle
The 3 MOA dot sits in a window about 20mm wide and 17mm tall, which is roomy for a sight this small. On this version the rear sight notch built into the housing is blacked out, so it gives you a clean, non-glowing backup notch for lining up with your front sight. The dot covers about three quarters of an inch at 25 yards.

Power and Brightness
One CR2032 battery powers the sight with a maximum rated life of up to 50,000 hours. Ten brightness positions are set with up and down digital buttons.
Mounting
The Sentinel II uses the RMSc footprint, the pattern used by many slim carry pistols. Mount it directly to an RMSc cut slide or to a matching plate, and use the screws made for your slide, a small drop of medium thread locker and the torque your pistol maker lists.
Built Tough
Swampfox rates this sight IPX7 waterproof and tests it for hard recoil. The company backs its optics with a limited lifetime warranty, and many Swampfox sights carry extra coverage on the illumination. It is a lot of sight for the money.
Model Note
Our feed lists this UPC as the Sentinel II 3 MOA with a blackout rear. Retail listings for this UPC describe the standard blackout rear version, and the store title lists a red dot. The photos show the Sentinel II housing, which is the same on red and green versions.
Brand Note
Our distributor feed had this item listed under the wrong brand. It is made by Swampfox Optics, and we have corrected the brand on this page.
Zeroing Tips
Most pistol shooters zero a red dot at 15 to 25 yards. Start close to get on paper, then move back and adjust. Fire groups of three to five shots before each change, and confirm zero with the ammunition you plan to carry.
Battery Care
Replace the battery once a year on a defensive gun, even if the dot still looks fine, and keep a spare in your range bag. Wipe the lens with a soft cloth or lens pen, not a shirt tail, to keep the coatings clean. If the dot seems dim or flickers, check the battery and contacts first.
Ordering and Transfer
When you order a firearm from MAG5 Firearms, we ship it to the licensed dealer you choose. Your dealer completes the ATF Form 4473 and the background check, and may charge a transfer fee. Local buyers can complete the transfer at our shop. Bring a valid ID, and check your state waiting period before you plan a hunt or a range trip.
