Description
The Swampfox Kingslayer Green Circle Dot is a micro reflex sight with a green circle dot reticle. The Kingslayer is a small, light open reflex sight that can go on a pistol or ride on a rail with the included Picatinny mount.
Swampfox Kingslayer Green Circle Dot Overview
Swampfox lists the Kingslayer at about 1 oz without the mount and about 1.3 oz with it, and it measures about 1.8 x 1.0 x 1.0 in. The body is aircraft grade aluminum and the 22mm lens is multi-coated. Windage and elevation adjust in 1 MOA clicks with about 90 MOA of total travel. The lens has anti-fog, hydrophobic and anti-scratch coatings, and the sight is parallax free at typical shooting distances.
The Reticle
The circle dot reticle puts a small center dot inside a larger circle. The circle grabs your eye fast at close range, and the dot gives you a precise point of aim for careful shots. A green reticle often looks brighter to the eye in daylight than red at the same setting.
Power and Brightness
One CR1632 battery runs the sight, and Swampfox lists the maximum battery life at about 1,500 hours. Ten brightness positions are set with up and down buttons.
Mounting
Swampfox includes a Picatinny rail mount plus three sets of Torx screws for mounting to a pistol slide or plate. Check that your slide cut or plate matches the Kingslayer before ordering.

Why a Green Dot
The human eye is most sensitive to green light, so a green dot often looks brighter and sharper than a red one at the same setting, especially in daylight. Many shooters with some red color weakness also find green easier to see. In very dark settings a dim red dot can be a little easier on night vision, so think about where you shoot most.
Zeroing Tips
Most pistol shooters zero a red dot at 15 to 25 yards. Start close to get on paper, then move back and adjust. Fire groups of three to five shots before each change, and confirm zero with the ammunition you plan to carry.
Battery Care
Replace the battery once a year on a defensive gun, even if the dot still looks fine, and keep a spare in your range bag. Wipe the lens with a soft cloth or lens pen, not a shirt tail, to keep the coatings clean. If the dot seems dim or flickers, check the battery and contacts first.
