Description
The Springfield Prodigy 4.25 Comp Gear Pac 10 is a pistol chambered in 9mm Luger with a 4.25-inch barrel and a 10+1 capacity. It carries the build quality Springfield Armory is known for and is ready for carry, home defense, or the range.
Springfield Prodigy 4.25 Comp Gear Pac 10 Overview
The 1911 DS Prodigy blends the crisp single-action trigger and natural grip angle of the 1911 with double-stack capacity. Its forged steel frame and slide, match-grade bull barrel, and Agency Optic System (AOS) cut make it a high-capacity 1911 that is ready for competition, carry, or home defense.
Carry and Use
The DS Prodigy gives you 1911 handling with modern capacity. The flat trigger, flared magwell, and aggressive texture make reloads and fast follow-up shots easy.
Trigger and Controls
The single-action trigger is short, crisp, and light, with a thumb safety and grip safety in the familiar 1911 layout. An ambidextrous safety and flared magwell speed up manipulation and reloads.
Sights and Optics
The slide is cut for a red dot optic, so you can add one whenever you are ready. Until then, the factory sights give you a clear, familiar sight picture.
Caliber
The 9mm Luger is the most popular handgun cartridge in the world. It offers manageable recoil, high magazine capacity, and a huge selection of affordable practice and defensive ammunition, which is why most police departments and the U.S. military carry it.

Ownership Tips
Read the owner’s manual fully before your first range trip, and keep the manual, box, and receipt with your records, since they make warranty service and any future resale easier. Practice safe handling at home with an unloaded pistol, and store it securely in a quality safe or with a lock when it is not in use.
Care and Cleaning
Cleaning is straightforward. Unload the pistol, field-strip it according to the manual, clean the bore with a brush and patches, wipe carbon from the slide rails and breech face, and apply a light coat of quality gun oil to the contact points. Wipe the exterior with a lightly oiled cloth before storage, and keep the optic lens clean and its mounting screws snug.
Before You Buy
Federal law requires handgun purchases to go through a licensed dealer, and buyers must be 21 or older to purchase a handgun from a dealer. Some states and localities restrict magazine capacity and certain features, so check your local laws before you order. We ship to the FFL dealer of your choice, and your dealer handles the background check and transfer.
