Description
The Springfield Echelon 4FC Gear Pac CA is a pistol chambered in 9mm Luger with a 4-inch barrel and a 10+1 capacity. This version is built to meet California requirements. It carries the build quality Springfield Armory is known for and is ready for carry, home defense, or the range.
Springfield Echelon 4FC Gear Pac CA Overview
The Echelon is Springfield Armory’s modular striker-fired pistol, built around a serialized Central Operating Group (COG) that can move between grip modules of different sizes. Its Variable Interface System lets you mount most popular red dots directly to the slide without an adapter plate, and the low bore axis and aggressive grip texture make it fast and controllable.
Carry and Use
The Echelon is equally comfortable as a duty pistol, a home-defense gun, or a competition starter. The grip module is well textured, the controls are ambidextrous, and the optic system makes mounting a red dot simple.
Trigger and Controls
The trigger has a flat face, a light take-up, and a clean break with a tactile reset. Ambidextrous slide stops and a reversible magazine release make it friendly for left- and right-handed shooters.
Sights and Optics
The slide is cut for a red dot optic, so you can add one whenever you are ready. Until then, the factory sights give you a clear, familiar sight picture.
Caliber
The 9mm Luger is the most popular handgun cartridge in the world. It offers manageable recoil, high magazine capacity, and a huge selection of affordable practice and defensive ammunition, which is why most police departments and the U.S. military carry it.

Ownership Tips
Read the owner’s manual fully before your first range trip, and keep the manual, box, and receipt with your records, since they make warranty service and any future resale easier. Practice safe handling at home with an unloaded pistol, and store it securely in a quality safe or with a lock when it is not in use.
Care and Cleaning
Cleaning is straightforward. Unload the pistol, field-strip it according to the manual, clean the bore with a brush and patches, wipe carbon from the slide rails and breech face, and apply a light coat of quality gun oil to the contact points. Wipe the exterior with a lightly oiled cloth before storage, and keep the optic lens clean and its mounting screws snug.
