Spandau S2 Field 12 Gauge 24in APX Camo 3in – Reliable Inertia Field Shotgun

Description

The Spandau S2 Field 12 Gauge 24in APX (model 21000184) is the S2 Field version in Realtree APX camo with a 24 inch vent rib barrel. It is an inertia-operated semi-auto with a 3 inch chamber, 3+1 capacity and Benelli Mobil pattern chokes. It carries an earlier SDS Imports UPC (723551446720) and is built in Turkey by Spandau Arms.

Spandau S2 Field 12 Gauge 24in APX Overview

Distributors call this model the S2 Field; mechanically it is the same inertia-driven S2 sold under the newer Spandau UPCs. Retailer listings show Benelli Mobil style tubes included, a fiber optic front sight, oversized controls and a widened loading gate. The 24 inch barrel and lighter APX pattern make it a handy walking gun for mixed hunts.

A Do-Everything Field Gun

A 24 inch S2 Field covers rabbits, squirrels, pheasants walked up in cover, and spring turkeys with the right choke. It is short enough for a truck cab or ATV scabbard and light enough to carry all day. It is not a specialist, but it handles many jobs well.

Realtree APX in the Field

APX is a lighter, open pattern with stems and leaves, which suits grass edges, CRP fields and early-season woods. In dark timber it can stand out a bit, so match your clothing to where you hunt most.

Inertia Operation

The S2 Field cycles from recoil energy rather than gas, so the action stays clean. Shoulder it firmly and use full-power loads; very light target loads or a loose hold can cause a failure to cycle. A short break-in with standard field loads is normal.

Chokes and Patterns

Benelli Mobil pattern tubes are widely available, including improved cylinder for upland birds and extra-full turkey tubes. Pattern your gun before you hunt and note which loads it likes.

Ownership Notes

Spandau is a newer name than Benelli, Beretta or Franchi, so local gunsmith familiarity and resale value are lower. Keep the box, shims, wrench and manual, and register the gun with the importer for warranty support.

Two UPCs, One Gun

SDS first sold the S2 under SDS Imports UPCs that begin 723551, then moved to Spandau UPCs that begin 810162. Some retailers list both, so you may see the S2 Field and S2 names side by side. The UPC and part number on this page are the ones on this listing.

State Laws and Ownership

Semi-automatic shotguns are legal in most states. Federal migratory bird rules require a plug limiting the gun to three shells for ducks, geese and doves, and many states set their own capacity, shot-type and hunting-hours rules. Check your state regulations, and ask your receiving FFL to confirm the transfer before ordering.
