This is a purpose-built spring turkey gun. The short 21 inch barrel is easy to swing from a sitting position against a tree, the camo covers the stock, forend, receiver and barrel, and the receiver is drilled and tapped for a red dot. Field and Stream’s Phil Bourjaily tested the S2 12/21 and named it his best value of the year. It holds 3+1 rounds and is about 43.75 inches overall.

Choke and Patterns

The included Carlson’s Bone Collector choke is designed for tight turkey patterns. Patterns vary a lot with shot size and load, so shoot several turkey loads at 30 and 40 yards before the season and pick the one that puts the most pellets in the head and neck area.
