Description

The Smith Wesson M2.0 Metal FDE Threaded is the M&P M2.0 Metal in flat dark earth with a threaded 4.625 inch barrel, giving you a rigid metal-framed 9mm that is ready for a suppressor or a compensator out of the box.
Smith Wesson M2.0 Metal FDE Threaded Metal Where Polymer Used to Be
The M2.0 Metal replaces the polymer frame of a standard M&P with metal, and the point is rigidity. A metal frame does not flex under recoil the way polymer does, which makes lockup more consistent and keeps the muzzle from climbing as far between shots. At around 30 ounces the pistol is heavier than its polymer sibling and shoots noticeably calmer for it.
Everything else carries over from the M2.0 generation, which is the version that fixed the original M&P trigger. The break is lighter and cleaner and the reset is both tactile and audible, which makes fast accurate follow-up shots far easier to learn.
The 18 degree grip angle is shared across the M&P line and is the reason these pistols point naturally for most shooters. A low bore axis keeps recoil pushing straight back rather than levering the muzzle up.
Threaded Barrel and Optics
The threaded barrel is the reason to choose this version. A 9mm suppressor on a metal-framed pistol is about as pleasant as handgun shooting gets: the frame keeps the recoil flat, the can takes the noise down to hearing-safe levels with subsonic ammunition, and the extra muzzle weight barely registers on a gun this heavy.
At 4.625 inches the barrel is longer than the standard 4.25, which adds a little velocity and pushes the threads far enough forward to clear most holsters and most suppressor mounts without a booster conflict.
The slide is cut for optics, a Picatinny-style rail takes a light or laser, and the flat-face trigger gives your finger a consistent reference. Four interchangeable palmswell inserts adjust grip circumference and trigger reach, and the takedown lever and sear deactivation system let you strip the pistol without pulling the trigger.

Why Buyers Choose the Smith Wesson M2.0 Metal FDE Threaded
A factory threaded barrel saves you buying an aftermarket one and worrying about whether it will be as accurate as the original.
A metal frame flattens recoil more than any other single feature on a striker-fired pistol, and it pairs particularly well with a suppressor because the added muzzle weight is less noticeable.
Flat dark earth on a metal frame looks considerably better than the same colour on polymer, and it wears more gracefully than a painted finish.
An optic cut and a rail mean the pistol takes a red dot and a light without any milling or adapters.
Who Should Buy It
The Smith Wesson M2.0 Metal FDE Threaded suits suppressor owners who want a host that shoots flat and needs no barrel swap, shooters who want a distinctive metal-framed 9mm, and anyone adding a red dot to a duty-size pistol. Bear in mind that a suppressor on a pistol needs a tilting-barrel booster to cycle reliably, so budget for one if you do not already have it.
