Smith Wesson FPC 9mm Red Dot Bundle – Superb Carbine

Description

The Smith Wesson FPC 9mm Red Dot Bundle is the M&P FPC folding 9mm carbine supplied with a Crimson Trace CTS red and green dot optic, so the carbine arrives ready to mount, zero and shoot rather than needing a second purchase.

Smith Wesson FPC 9mm Red Dot Bundle Why the Optic Matters Here

A pistol caliber carbine and a red dot belong together. The cartridge is easy to shoot, the ranges are short and the target picture is what limits most shooters, so a dot removes the hardest part of the problem and turns a compact carbine into something anyone can hit with quickly.

The Crimson Trace CTS unit included here offers both red and green reticle options. Green is easier for many eyes to pick up in daylight, red is gentler at night and draws less battery, and being able to switch between them is a genuine convenience rather than a gimmick.

Because the FPC folds horizontally rather than under the receiver, the optic stays mounted and stays zeroed when the carbine is closed. That is the whole reason the folding mechanism was designed the way it was.

The Carbine Underneath

The FPC folds to about 16 and a half inches long, 8 inches tall and 2.5 inches wide, from roughly 30 and five eighths inches unfolded. Two spare magazines store inside the stock behind a quick-release tab system, so the carbine carries its own reloads.

It accepts any M&P full-size or compact double-stack 9mm pistol magazine, which means an existing M&P pistol owner already has a magazine supply and an aftermarket to draw on.

The action is blowback, with nothing to tune and very little to maintain. An M-LOK handguard with a Picatinny rail on top takes lights and accessories, and the charging slide doubles as a retainer holding the carbine closed when folded.

Why Buyers Choose the Smith Wesson FPC 9mm Red Dot Bundle

Buying a carbine and an optic separately means researching mounts, heights and footprints. Here the optic ships with the gun and mounts to the rail already on it.

9mm from a 16.25 inch barrel is cheap to shoot, gains real velocity over a pistol, and is far easier on hearing and on new shooters than a rifle cartridge.

A carbine that folds is a carbine that gets carried. This one packs down to the size of a bag rather than requiring a rifle case.

Magazine compatibility with M&P pistols means one inventory of magazines covers both, which simplifies both storage and packing.

Who Should Buy It

The Smith Wesson FPC 9mm Red Dot Bundle suits first-time carbine buyers who want a complete package, M&P pistol owners adding a carbine that shares magazines, and anyone who wants a compact home or travel gun that is quick to get on target. Battery life is worth watching on any red dot, so keep a spare in the stock.
