Description
The Sig Sauer P938 MA Compliant is one of the few genuinely good pocket pistols Massachusetts residents can buy, and nothing about it has been watered down to get there. MAG5 Firearms stocks it with an all-metal frame, a single-action trigger, an ambidextrous thumb safety and seven rounds of 9mm.
Sig Sauer P938 MA Compliant and What Compliance Changes
The barrel, slide, frame, trigger and safety are the same parts found in the standard P938. The configuration is built to satisfy state requirements rather than being a stripped-down version of the gun.
Requirements change independently of federal law, so confirm current rules with your receiving FFL before ordering.
A 1911 Trigger in a Pocket Gun
Almost everything else this size is striker-fired or double-action-only, which means a long, heavy press on a three-inch sight radius. The Sig Sauer P938 MA Compliant keeps the 1911 pattern: carry cocked and locked, press a short single-action break, get a fast reset.
On a pistol this small, trigger quality decides whether hits land. Shooters coming from a full-size 1911 find nothing to relearn.

All-Metal Construction and Recoil
An aluminum frame and steel slide give this pistol enough mass that 9mm recoil arrives as a push rather than a snap. Polymer pocket nines are unpleasant to practice with, and guns people do not practice with do not get carried.
A beavertail lets the hand ride high over the bore, which matters more on a light gun than a heavy one, and the slide racks more easily than most pistols this size.
Grips, Safety and Carry
Finger-grooved rubber grips hold better than wood or G10 in cold or wet conditions and index the hand the same way on every draw.
The ambidextrous safety is what makes pocket carry acceptable. A pistol that shifts around needs a positive mechanical block, and the Sig Sauer P938 MA Compliant has one on both sides.
