Description
The Sig Sauer P365X 9mm Optic Ready is the P365 with the grip problem solved. It keeps the 3.1-inch barrel and the footprint that made the original disappear under a shirt, and adds the XSeries grip module with an integrated carry magwell and an extended beavertail, so your whole hand gets on the gun.
The XSeries Grip Module
What separates this pistol from the standard P365 is the grip. The magwell funnels reloads that would otherwise be fiddly on a gun this small, and the beavertail lets you drive your hand higher on the backstrap, which lowers the bore axis relative to your grip and takes some of the flip out of a light 9mm. Twelve rounds sit in a grip that is still only 1.1 inches across.
The trigger is SIG’s XSeries flat-faced unit with a ninety-degree break. On the Sig Sauer P365X 9mm Optic Ready it gives a cleaner, more predictable press than the curved trigger on the base gun, and the flat face makes consistent finger placement easier for shooters with shorter fingers.
No Manual Safety on This Configuration
This version has no manual thumb safety. For most carry shooters that is the preferred setup: fewer steps between draw and shot, and nothing to forget under pressure. If your department, your range, or your own preference calls for a thumb safety, SIG builds the same pistol with one fitted and we list it separately, so check which version you are buying before you order.

Mounting a Red Dot on the Sig Sauer P365X 9mm Optic Ready
The slide is cut for the COMPACT footprint, the same pattern as the Shield RMSc, so a ROMEO-X Compact, ROMEOZero Elite or comparable micro red dot bolts down without an adapter plate. The XRAY3 irons sit in the rear dovetail and stay usable as a backup. Buying optic-ready rather than a sealed-slide version means you choose the optic and you are not paying twice if you already own one.
Capacity and Magazines
Two twelve-round magazines ship in the case. That is twenty-five rounds on hand out of the box, a meaningful step up from the ten-round base gun without a grip you have to hide differently. Ten-round magazines are available if your state requires them, and higher-capacity P365 magazines drop in where the law permits.
Who the Sig Sauer P365X 9mm Optic Ready Is For
Anyone who found the base P365 slightly too small in the hand but does not want to carry anything larger. The XSeries grip is the single best upgrade in the line for shooters with medium to large hands, and it costs almost nothing in concealment because printing is driven by grip length and this grip is barely taller.
The manual-safety version of this pistol, along with the rest of the P365 family, are listed in our handgun catalog. Factory specifications are published by SIG SAUER.
