Description

The Sig Sauer P365 AXG Fuse combines the two things that make a carry pistol shoot like a range gun: a metal grip module and a longer barrel. MAG5 Firearms stocks it with an aluminum AXG grip, a 4.3-inch barrel, an optic-ready slide and twenty-one rounds on board.

What the AXG Metal Grip Changes

AXG replaces the polymer grip module with machined aluminum. The extra weight sits low in the hand, which lowers the center of gravity and cuts muzzle rise more effectively than anything done to the slide.

On the Sig Sauer P365 AXG Fuse that turns a concealable pistol into one that tracks like something much larger. Shooters who find polymer micro guns snappy usually find this one transformative.

Why 4.3 Inches Is the Right Barrel

Every other P365 trades sight radius for concealment. The Fuse length refuses that trade, giving a sight radius close to a duty pistol while the frame stays narrow enough to carry inside the waistband.

Paired with the AXG grip, the Sig Sauer P365 AXG Fuse shoots flatter and more precisely than a micro pistol has any right to, and it still disappears under a cover garment.

Capacity and Magazines

Twenty-one rounds in a carry pistol was unheard of before the XMacro magazine geometry arrived. The Sig Sauer P365 AXG Fuse carries that capacity in a grip most hands can still get all the way around.

Spare magazines are widely produced and inexpensive, and seventeen-round versions flush-fit for deeper concealment.

Sig Sauer P365 AXG Fuse Optic Cut and Rail

The slide is cut for a micro red dot, so an optic mounts directly with no adapter plate. On a carry gun that is the single largest practical accuracy upgrade available.

A Picatinny rail on the dust cover takes a compact weapon light, and the longer Fuse dust cover gives a light more room than the micro-compact frames allow.

Availability and Transfer

MAG5 Firearms is a licensed FFL dealer in Pennsylvania. This pistol ships new in the factory case with magazines, lock and documentation, transferred through your local FFL.

Holsters cut for the Fuse frame are widely available, including optic-cut and light-bearing options.

Every Sig Sauer P365 AXG Fuse sold by MAG5 Firearms ships new in the factory packaging with the accessories SIG SAUER includes, and transfers to your chosen FFL. The Sig Sauer P365 AXG Fuse is a regulated firearm and we verify licensing before any order leaves the shop.

Magazines and what actually ships with the Sig Sauer P365 AXG Fuse

Sig Sauer P365 AXG Fuse 9mm pistol shown from the front right with the optic cut slide and AXG grip

The Fuse grip is built around the XMACRO magazine, which is why the round count is what it is. Sig supplies the platform with both lengths: a seventeen round magazine that sits flush and twenty one round magazines that extend slightly below the grip. Twenty one plus one is the number on the box and it is achieved with the longer magazine, not the flush one.

  • Flush seventeen round magazines are the ones to carry if concealment is the point. The grip is already long; adding to it defeats the purpose.
  • The twenty one round XMACRO magazine is the one that gets you to 21+1, and it is worth having two or three for range use regardless of how you carry.
  • For practice, CCI Blazer Brass 115 grain 9mm is the clean burning load most owners settle on.
  • The magwell on this platform is removable, so a magazine that fits with it in place will also fit without it.
  • Do not mix standard P365 magazines with XMACRO magazines. They are not the same part and the shorter ones will not fill this grip.

Optic footprint on the Sig Sauer P365 AXG Fuse

The slide is cut for the Shield RMSc compact footprint, which is the same pattern used across the P365 line and by a long list of micro red dots. That matters more than it sounds: it means you are choosing from the widest optic selection on the market rather than a handful of sights that fit one proprietary cut.

Mount directly to the slide, torque to the optic maker figure and use thread locker. The Sig Sauer P365 AXG Fuse also carries a fiber optic front sight with a serrated black rear, so the irons stay usable as a backup when a battery dies. The rear is serrated rather than dotted on purpose, so your eye goes to the front sight instead of trying to line up three dots.

Living with the Sig Sauer P365 AXG Fuse

An aluminum grip module changes how the pistol carries as much as how it shoots. It is heavier than the polymer version, and on a belt that is felt over a day rather than in a drawer. A good belt matters more here than on a lighter gun, and a holster with real retention matters more still.

The upside is what happens on the range. Weight low in the hand is the most effective thing anyone has found for controlling muzzle rise, and it is why competition shooters pay for metal grip modules. On the Sig Sauer P365 AXG Fuse you get that from the factory rather than as an aftermarket purchase, and the gun is still narrow enough to conceal.

One detail worth knowing before you order a holster: the Sig Sauer P365 AXG Fuse has a Picatinny rail and a beavertail, and the Fuse slide is longer than every other P365. A holster cut for a standard P365 will not take it, and several makers list Fuse as a separate model rather than a variant. Confirm the exact model with the holster maker rather than assuming a P365 mold will do, because it will not.
