Description
The SIG Sauer P365 AXG Equinox 9mm is a pistol chambered in 9mm with a 3.1-inch barrel and a 12+1 capacity. It pairs a two-tone Equinox stainless slide with a black stainless steel frame and G10 grips.
SIG Sauer P365 AXG Equinox 9mm Overview
The P365 AXG takes SIG Sauer’s popular P365 fire control unit and drops it into a stainless steel grip module, giving a micro-compact pistol more weight in the hand and noticeably softer recoil. The Equinox version adds SIG’s signature polished two-tone slide flats over a Nitron finish, for a carry gun that looks as good as it shoots.
Design and Features
The steel frame has an accessory rail for a compact light, and the G10 grip panels are thin and well textured. The slide is optic ready, so you can add a micro red dot when you are ready, and it ships with a 12-round magazine. Because the fire control unit is the standard P365, parts and many accessories are easy to find.
Handling and Carry
The AXG is heavier than a polymer P365, which is the point: the extra steel soaks up recoil and makes follow-up shots quicker. It is still slim enough for inside-the-waistband carry, though you will feel the weight on a light belt, so a good gun belt helps. Make sure your holster is made for the AXG, because the rail and grip shape differ from a standard P365.
Trigger and Controls
The flat-faced trigger has a short, consistent take-up and a clean break with a short reset. The slide catch and magazine release are easy to reach, and there is no manual safety on this model.
Sights and Optics
The factory sights give a clear, quick sight picture, and the optic-ready slide lets you add a red dot whenever you are ready.
The 9mm Cartridge
The 9mm Luger is the most popular handgun cartridge in the world. It offers manageable recoil, good capacity, and a huge selection of affordable practice and defensive ammunition.
Setup and Accessories
A good holster is the most important accessory for any carry pistol. Choose one that covers the trigger guard completely and holds the gun securely, then add a sturdy gun belt, spare magazines, and a weapon light if the frame has a rail. Practice drawing and reloading with an unloaded gun until it feels natural.
Ownership Tips
Read the owner manual fully before your first range trip, and keep the manual, box, and receipt with your records for warranty service and resale. Unload the pistol and confirm it is empty before cleaning. Field-strip it according to the owner manual, scrub the bore with a brush and patches, and wipe carbon from the breech face and slide rails. Apply a light coat of quality gun oil to the contact points, and wipe the exterior with a lightly oiled cloth before storage.

Magazine capacity limits, feature restrictions, and transfer rules vary by state and locality. Check your local laws before ordering, and ask your receiving dealer if you are unsure whether this configuration is legal where you live.
