Description
The Sig Sauer P320 X-Carry 10 Round is the carry-length version of SIG’s modular striker-fired pistol, configured with 10-round magazines for shooters in capacity-restricted states. A 3.9-inch barrel, the XSeries grip module with its higher beavertail and flat trigger, XRAY3 day/night sights and an optic-ready slide make it a duty-capable gun in a package that still conceals.
What the XSeries Package Adds to the Sig Sauer P320 X-Carry 10 Round
The XSeries grip module is the reason most people choose an X-Carry over a standard P320 Carry. It raises the beavertail so the hand sits higher over the bore, extends the beavertail rearward to protect against slide bite, and carries a more aggressive texture than the standard module. Paired with the flat-faced trigger, the gun feels closer to a competition pistol than a service gun.
Because the P320 is built around a removable fire control unit, the grip module can be changed later without gunsmithing if your hand size or carry method changes.
Barrel, Slide and Optic Mounting
The 3.9-inch barrel gives up very little velocity to a full-size gun while keeping the slide short enough to carry inside the waistband. The slide is cut for a direct-mount optic, so a Romeo1Pro, Romeo2 or a comparable red dot can be installed without machining. XRAY3 day/night sights come installed from the factory, with a suppressor-height front that co-witnesses with most mounted optics.
Ten-Round Configuration and State Compliance
This configuration ships with 10-round magazines rather than the standard 17-round magazines, which makes it a straightforward choice in states that cap magazine capacity. Nothing else about the pistol is reduced: the frame, slide, barrel and trigger are the same parts used in the full-capacity model, and the gun will accept higher-capacity magazines if you later move somewhere that permits them.

Who the Sig Sauer P320 X-Carry 10 Round Suits
This is a good fit for the carrier who wants one pistol that works on the range, in a class and under a cover garment, and who lives somewhere with a magazine limit. It is also popular with shooters who already own a full-size P320, because the fire control unit and most parts are shared between the two. Competitors use the X-Carry as a carry-optics backup for the same reason.
Holsters, Lights and Magazines
The frame carries a full-length accessory rail that accepts the Streamlight TLR-1, SureFire X300 and similar duty lights. Holsters cut for the P320 Carry or X-Carry fit, and optic-ready models are widely available from Safariland, Blackhawk and the major kydex makers. Spare 10-round magazines are standard P320 pattern and easy to source.
Shooting the Sig Sauer P320 X-Carry 10 Round
The XSeries grip module changes how this pistol feels more than the spec sheet suggests. A higher grip means the bore sits closer to your hand, so recoil rotates the gun less and the sights return faster. Combined with the flat trigger and a 3.9-inch barrel, the Sig Sauer P320 X-Carry 10 Round shoots much closer to a full-size gun than its carry dimensions imply.
Most shooters find the transition from a standard P320 immediate. The controls are in the same places, the takedown is identical, and the only real adjustment is the grip texture, which is noticeably more aggressive than the standard module.
Care and Long-Term Ownership
Field stripping needs no tools and no trigger pull: lock the slide back, rotate the takedown lever, and the slide comes forward off the frame. The serialized part is the stainless fire control unit, which means the grip module, slide and barrel are all replaceable hardware. That modularity is the main reason the P320 family holds value.
Clean the barrel and rails and keep a light film of oil on the locking surfaces every few hundred rounds. Recoil springs are the wear item on any carry pistol; a replacement assembly every few thousand rounds is cheap insurance. If you later move to a state without a magazine limit, higher-capacity magazines drop straight in with no other changes to the gun.
