Description
Practicing with one load and carrying another is how people discover at the worst moment that their point of impact moved. The SIG Sauer 365 9mm Luger 115gr FMJ exists to close that gap for micro-compact pistols.

Why Matched Practice Ammunition Matters
A three-inch barrel changes everything about a 9mm load. Powder that burns fully in a five-inch Glock does not finish in a P365, so velocity drops, recoil impulse shifts, and the point of impact can move noticeably at seven yards. SIG built the 365 line specifically around that shorter barrel rather than adapting a full-size recipe.
The SIG Sauer 365 9mm Luger 115gr FMJ is the practice half of that pairing. It is loaded to match the 365 V-Crown defensive round in velocity and recoil, which means the sight picture you build on the range is the sight picture you get when it counts. That is not marketing; it is the single most useful thing a practice load can do.
At 1050 feet per second with a 115 grain full metal jacket, this produces roughly 282 foot-pounds. Modest by 9mm standards, and appropriate: a micro-compact is not a duty gun, and loading it hot mostly costs you control on the second shot.
SIG Sauer 365 9mm Luger 115gr FMJ Specifications
SIG loads this in Jacksonville, Arkansas, on boxer-primed brass that reloads normally. The full metal jacket is a conventional copper jacket over lead, so it does not expand and is not a defensive round. It is range ammunition, and it is priced accordingly.
Where the SIG Sauer 365 9mm Luger 115gr FMJ earns its keep over generic bulk 9mm is consistency. Bulk practice ammunition varies enough between lots that your zero can shift box to box, which defeats the purpose of practicing at all. SIG holds this to tighter tolerances because the whole point is that it matches something else.
Case pack is 20 boxes, so if you shoot a lot the case price per round comes down meaningfully. Worth asking about if a P365 is your daily carry and you train seriously.

Honest Notes on This Load
Buy the SIG Sauer 365 9mm Luger 115gr FMJ if you carry a P365, a Hellcat, a Shield Plus or any other micro-compact and you carry 365 V-Crown in it. Training with matched ammunition is the whole argument, and it is a good one.
Skip it if you carry something else entirely. A generic 115 grain FMJ costs less and will serve just as well for a full-size pistol where the ballistic matching is not relevant.
Skip it for carry. This is a full metal jacket that does not expand and will overpenetrate. The 365 V-Crown jacketed hollow point in the same line is the defensive load, and buying both is the intended pattern.
The defensive half of the pair: the SIG 365 9mm Luger V-Crown JHP. If you are outfitting the pistol, P365 10-round magazines with finger extension are available. SIG publishes full Elite Performance ammunition data on its own site.
MAG5 Firearms stocks matched practice and defensive ammunition together. If you carry a micro-compact, ask us to pair your training load with your carry load.
