Description
The Shadow Systems MR920 MA FDE is a pistol chambered in 9mm with a 4-inch barrel and a 10+1 capacity. This configuration has a fde barrel or finish, and it ships with 10-round magazines for capacity-restricted states.
Shadow Systems MR920 MA FDE Overview
The MR920 is Shadow Systems’ multi-role compact pistol, sized like a Glock 19 so it works with common G19-pattern magazines and holsters. It is built to carry like a compact and shoot like a duty pistol, with a frame that sits low in the hand, an extended beavertail, a recoil control ledge for your support thumb, and interchangeable backstraps to tune grip angle.
Design and Features
The Elite slide adds front, rear, and top directional serrations, a weight-saving window cut, and Shadow Systems’ patented multi-footprint optic mounting system, so most popular red dots mount directly without adapter plates. A match-grade spiral-fluted barrel, steel sights, and a flat-faced trigger round out a premium out-of-the-box package.
Handling and Carry
Shadow Systems pistols are known for shooting flatter and handling better than their size suggests. The texture is aggressive enough to lock in your grip without being uncomfortable for carry, and the controls are easy to reach and run under stress.
Trigger and Controls
The flat-faced trigger delivers a consistent, repeatable press with a clean break and short reset. The striker-fired action is compatible with many common aftermarket parts and accessories.
Sights and Optics
Steel sights come standard, and the slide accepts most popular red dots directly through Shadow Systems’ optic mounting system.
The 9mm Cartridge
The 9mm Luger is the most popular handgun cartridge in the world. It offers manageable recoil, good capacity, and a huge selection of affordable practice and defensive ammunition.
Setup and Accessories
A good holster is the most important accessory for any carry pistol. Choose one that covers the trigger guard completely and holds the gun securely, then add a sturdy gun belt, spare magazines, and a weapon light if the frame has a rail. Practice drawing and reloading with an unloaded gun until it feels natural.
Ownership Tips
Read the owner’s manual fully before your first range trip, and keep the manual, box, and receipt with your records for warranty service and resale. Unload the pistol and confirm it is empty before cleaning. Field-strip it according to the owner’s manual, scrub the bore with a brush and patches, and wipe carbon from the breech face and slide rails. Apply a light coat of quality gun oil to the contact points, and wipe the exterior with a lightly oiled cloth before storage.
