Description
Sellier and Bellot 7x57R 173gr SPCE ammunition from Sellier & Bellot (Rifle) loads a 173 grain soft point cut-through edge in 7x57R. Each box holds 20 rounds.
Built for Big Game Hunting
This load pairs a 173 grain soft point cut-through edge with the 7x57R, a combination aimed at hunters who need dependable performance on deer-sized game and larger.
Bullet choice matters as much as cartridge choice. A well-constructed hunting bullet is designed to expand reliably and hold together long enough to reach the vital organs, which is what leads to quick, ethical harvests.
Factory hunting ammunition also saves time at the bench. Instead of working up a handload, you can zero with a consistent box of Sellier and Bellot 7x57R 173gr SPCE and spend that time scouting and practicing instead.

Hunting Tips
Use Sellier and Bellot 7x57R 173gr SPCE only in firearms chambered for 7x57R.
Zero your rifle with this exact load before the season and confirm your holds at the distances you expect to shoot.
Practice from field positions such as sitting, kneeling and shooting sticks, not only from a bench.
Check your state regulations for caliber, bullet and ammunition requirements before you hunt.
Sellier and Bellot 7x57R 173gr SPCE is a dependable choice for shooters who want a ready-made big game hunting ammo from a known maker.
Shot placement
Even the best bullet depends on good shot placement. Aim for the heart and lungs, wait for a broadside or slightly quartering-away angle, and pass on shots you are not confident in.
Sighting in
Ammunition from different makers can print to different points of impact. Shoot a few groups with this load from a solid rest before opening day so you know exactly where it hits.
After the shot
Mark where the animal was standing, watch its direction of travel and give it time before tracking. Patience after the shot makes recovery much easier.
Reading the box
The box lists the caliber, bullet weight and bullet type. Always match the cartridge to the caliber stamped on your firearm’s barrel or slide, and never fire ammunition that is not specified for your firearm.
About Sellier & Bellot
Sellier and Bellot 7x57R 173gr SPCE comes from Sellier & Bellot, and the specifications listed here follow the maker’s and our distributor’s published data for this item. Compare loads by bullet weight, bullet type and intended use to find the best fit for your firearm.
Buying the right amount
When you find a load that performs well, buy enough for practice and the full season at once. Ammunition from the same lot tends to perform the same, which keeps your results consistent.
Safety first
Always treat every firearm as loaded, keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction and keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot. Wear eye and ear protection every time you shoot.
Understanding bullet weight
Heavier bullets in a given caliber usually leave the muzzle slower but carry momentum well and resist wind drift, while lighter bullets shoot faster and flatter at shorter ranges. Neither is better in every case; the right choice depends on the game, the distance and your firearm.
Choosing the right load
Start with the job you need the ammunition to do, whether that is hunting, target shooting or practice. Then match the load to that job, and finally test a few boxes in your own firearm, because every barrel has its preferences.
