Description
The Savage RXR22 22 LR Gun Metal Gray is a semi-automatic rimfire rifle with a 16.5-inch sporter carbon steel barrel, a gun metal gray synthetic stock, a 10, and a -round detachable magazine. It weighs about 4.6 lbs.
Savage RXR22 22 LR Gun Metal Gray Overview
Savage has built a reputation for accurate, dependable firearms at fair prices, and the RXR22 continues that tradition with practical features that matter in the field and at the range. It is the kind of gun that earns a permanent place in the safe because it simply works, shot after shot, without fuss or expensive upgrades. The 22 LR is the most popular cartridge in the world for good reason: ammunition is affordable and easy to find, recoil is almost nonexistent, and it is quiet enough for plinking, squirrel hunting, and hours of practice.
Barrel and Action
The 16.5-inch sporter carbon steel barrel has a matte finish and a 1:16″ twist matched to 22 LR bullets. The profile keeps the gun light and well balanced for carrying. The muzzle is threaded for a muzzle device or suppressor where local law allows; suppressors are NFA items that require an approved ATF Form 4.
Stock and Fit
The gun metal gray synthetic stock is built to handle real-world use, and synthetic material will not swell or warp in rain or humidity. Length of pull is 13.75″. Overall length is about 35.25″.
Sights and Optics
Scope bases (Integral, 0 MOA) come installed, so mounting an optic is quick and simple.
Trigger
The factory trigger has a consistent, predictable pull that is easy to learn. Smooth trigger control and good fundamentals will let you get the most from this rifle.
Capacity and Handling
The 10-round detachable magazine loads easily and makes unloading quick and safe. Spare magazines make range days more productive.
In the Field
Rimfire guns often prefer one load over another, so try a few brands of 22 LR to find the one that groups best in your barrel. Pair it with a quality optic and a steady rest for the best results.

Ownership and Value
A quality rimfire is one of the most useful guns a family can own. It teaches fundamentals, controls pests, fills the freezer with small game, and provides endless low-cost practice. Savage rimfires are known for accuracy that punches well above their price, and spare magazines, scope mounts, and accessories are easy to find.

A little routine care keeps the Savage RXR22 22 LR Gun Metal Gray running smoothly. After each outing, wipe down exposed metal, clean the bore, keep moving parts lightly lubricated, and store the gun in a dry place.
