Description
The Savage Revel DLX 22 LR is a lever-action rimfire rifle with an 18-inch medium carbon steel barrel, a brown turkish walnut stock, a 12, and a -round tubular magazine. It weighs about 6.1 lbs.
Savage Revel DLX 22 LR Overview
Savage has built a reputation for accurate, dependable firearms at fair prices, and the Revel DLX continues that tradition with practical features that matter in the field and at the range. It is the kind of gun that earns a permanent place in the safe because it simply works, shot after shot, without fuss or expensive upgrades. The 22 LR is the most popular cartridge in the world for good reason: ammunition is affordable and easy to find, recoil is almost nonexistent, and it is quiet enough for plinking, squirrel hunting, and hours of practice.
Barrel and Action
The 18-inch medium carbon steel barrel has a matte finish and a 1:16″ twist matched to 22 LR bullets. The profile keeps the gun light and well balanced for carrying. The muzzle is threaded for a muzzle device or suppressor where local law allows; suppressors are NFA items that require an approved ATF Form 4.
Stock and Fit
The brown turkish walnut stock is built to handle real-world use, and wood is a natural material, so every stock shows its own grain. Length of pull is 14.5″. Overall length is about 36.5″.
Sights and Optics
The rifle is ready for the sighting system that suits your use; check the specifications below for sights and mounting options.
Trigger
The factory trigger has a consistent, predictable pull that is easy to learn. Smooth trigger control and good fundamentals will let you get the most from this rifle.
Capacity and Handling
The 12-round tubular magazine loads easily and makes unloading quick and safe. Spare magazines make range days more productive.
In the Field
Rimfire guns often prefer one load over another, so try a few brands of 22 LR to find the one that groups best in your barrel. Pair it with a quality optic and a steady rest for the best results.
Key Features
Highlights from the factory spec sheet: Quick takedown; Simple disassembly for easy cleaning; Aluminum receiver; Smooth lever action; Crossbolt safety; Beautiful satin finish walnut stock; Pistol grip walnut stock w/stippling; Rubber Butt pad.
Ownership and Value
A quality rimfire is one of the most useful guns a family can own. It teaches fundamentals, controls pests, fills the freezer with small game, and provides endless low-cost practice. Savage rimfires are known for accuracy that punches well above their price, and spare magazines, scope mounts, and accessories are easy to find.
Care and Cleaning
A little routine care keeps the Savage Revel DLX 22 LR running smoothly. After each outing, wipe down exposed metal, clean the bore, keep moving parts lightly lubricated, and store the gun in a dry place.
