Description
The Savage Revel Classic 22 WMR is a lever-action rimfire rifle chambered in 22 Magnum, with an 18-inch medium-profile barrel, a satin-finished walnut stock, adjustable iron sights, and a 9-round tubular magazine. It breaks down quickly for travel, making it a classic-looking backpack rifle with modern engineering.
Savage Revel Classic 22 WMR Overview
Savage designed the Revel as a sleek, modern take on the classic lever-action rimfire. It blends traditional lines with modern materials and precision manufacturing, giving you smooth, reliable cycling and a crisp trigger for confident shot placement. In 22 WMR, it carries noticeably more energy than a 22 LR, making it a capable choice for foxes, groundhogs, and other small game and pests out to moderate distances.
Smooth Lever Action
The lever action cycles smoothly and quickly, and an oversize lever loop leaves room for gloved hands on cold mornings. Rounds feed from a tubular magazine under the barrel that holds 9 rounds of 22 WMR, giving you plenty of shots before reloading. A crossbolt safety adds simple, positive control.
Quick Takedown Design
The Revel separates into two pieces quickly without tools, so it packs neatly into a backpack, a boat, or a truck. That makes it a handy companion for camping trips, cabin chores, and walks along the back forty, and it reassembles in seconds when you need it.
Satin Walnut Stock
The contoured walnut stock and forend wear a satin finish that shows off the grain and gives a secure, comfortable hold. Walnut is a natural material, so each stock has its own color and figure. The 14.5-inch length of pull suits most adult shooters.
Sights and Optics
Adjustable iron sights come installed for quick, traditional shooting, and the aluminum receiver is drilled and tapped so you can add a scope or red dot. Many owners keep the irons for close work and add a compact optic for longer shots on pests.
Medium Profile Barrel
The 18-inch carbon steel barrel has a medium profile that balances steadiness with easy carry. Its 1:16 twist stabilizes common 22 WMR bullet weights, and the overall rifle weighs about 6.1 pounds.
Why 22 Magnum
The 22 WMR fills the gap between the 22 LR and centerfire rounds. It shoots flatter and hits harder than a standard rimfire, extending your effective range on pests and small predators, yet it stays quiet and mild enough for comfortable shooting around the farm. Ammunition is widely available in varmint and small-game loads, and a lever gun in this caliber is as fun on the range as it is useful in the field. Pair it with a quality rimfire scope and a sling for a do-everything rifle you will reach for again and again.
