Description
The Savage Impulse Mountain Hunter 270 22 is a bolt action rifle from Savage Arms chambered in 270 Win with a 22 inch barrel and a gray stock. It holds 4 rounds. This listing is UPC 011356578983, Savage item 57898.
Savage Impulse Mountain Hunter 270 22 Overview
The Impulse is the Savage straight pull rifle, using the Hexlock bolt that you simply pull straight back and push forward for very fast follow up shots. This version is the Impulse Mountain Hunter.
Action and AccuTrigger
The bolt action is ambidextrous handed and feeds from a detachable box magazine holding 4 rounds. The AccuTrigger lets you adjust the pull weight yourself, from about 1.5 lbs (24 ounces) to 4 lbs (64 ounces), and its AccuRelease blade helps prevent accidental discharge.
Barrel
The 22″ carbon fiber wrapped stainless steel barrel has a sendero lite contour and a 1:10″ twist, and the muzzle is threaded 5/8×24 for a brake or suppressor where legal. Savage button rifles its barrels and headspaces them with a barrel nut, which is a big part of its reputation for accuracy.
Stock and Fit
The gray synthetic sporter has a length of pull from 12.75″ (32.39 cm) to 13.75″ (34.93 cm). AccuFit lets you change length of pull and comb height without tools, so the rifle fits you or a growing shooter. The AccuStock rail system holds the action firmly for consistent accuracy.
Optics
The receiver is fitted with integral, 20 moa bases. Pick a quality scope that suits the ranges you hunt.
