Description
The Savage Impulse Big Game 300 WSM 24 is a bolt action rifle from Savage Arms chambered in 300 WSM with a 24 inch barrel and a camouflage stock. It holds 2 rounds. This listing is UPC 011356580276, Savage item 58027.
Savage Impulse Big Game 300 WSM 24 Overview
The Impulse is the Savage straight pull rifle, using the Hexlock bolt that you simply pull straight back and push forward for very fast follow up shots. This version is the Impulse Big Game.
Action and AccuTrigger
The bolt action is ambidextrous handed and feeds from a detachable box magazine holding 2 rounds. The AccuTrigger lets you adjust the pull weight yourself, from about 1.5 lbs (24 ounces) to 4 lbs (64 ounces), and its AccuRelease blade helps prevent accidental discharge.
Barrel
The 24″ carbon steel barrel has a medium suppressor ready contour and a 1:10″ twist, and the muzzle is threaded 5/8×24 for a brake or suppressor where legal. Savage button rifles its barrels and headspaces them with a barrel nut, which is a big part of its reputation for accuracy.
Stock and Fit
The camouflage synthetic sporter has a length of pull from 12.75″ (32.39 cm) to 13.75″ (34.93 cm). AccuFit lets you change length of pull and comb height without tools, so the rifle fits you or a growing shooter. The AccuStock rail system holds the action firmly for consistent accuracy.
Optics
The receiver is fitted with integral, 20 moa bases. Pick a quality scope that suits the ranges you hunt.

Buying Tips
Budget for quality optics, rings and ammo if not included, and confirm your zero at the distances you expect to shoot. Left handed shooters should make sure they pick a left hand model.
Care and Value
Wipe the metal down after wet hunts, clean the bore regularly and store the rifle in a dry place. Savage rifles are known for value and hold up to years of hard use.
State Laws
Bolt action rifles are legal in every state, though some states limit hunting calibers and muzzle devices. Pennsylvania buyers can transfer at our Collegeville shop or at any FFL.
