Savage Axis XP Black LH 308 20 Overview
The Axis is the Savage entry level bolt action, built to give new and budget minded hunters a dependable, accurate rifle without the price of a custom gun. This version is the Axis XP in left hand.
Action and AccuTrigger
The bolt action is left handed and feeds from a detachable box magazine holding 4 rounds. The trigger breaks cleanly for a factory rifle.
Barrel
The 20″ carbon steel barrel has a heavy sporter threaded contour and a 1:10″ twist, and the muzzle is threaded 5/8×24 for a brake or suppressor where legal. Savage button rifles its barrels and headspaces them with a barrel nut, which is a big part of its reputation for accuracy.
Stock and Fit
The black synthetic sporter has a length of pull from 13.75″ (34.93 cm).
Optics
This package includes a 3-9×40 scope that comes mounted and bore sighted, so it is ready to hunt out of the box. Check zero at the range before the season.

Buying Tips

Care and Value
Wipe the metal down after wet hunts, clean the bore regularly and store the rifle in a dry place. Savage rifles are known for value and hold up to years of hard use.
