Savage Axis II Precision 243 22 Overview
The Axis is the Savage entry level bolt action, built to give new and budget minded hunters a dependable, accurate rifle without the price of a custom gun. This version is the Axis II Precision.
Action and AccuTrigger
The bolt action is right handed and feeds from a detachable box magazine holding 10 rounds. The AccuTrigger lets you adjust the pull weight yourself, from about 2.5 lbs (40 ounces) to 6 lbs (96 ounces), and its AccuRelease blade helps prevent accidental discharge.
Barrel
The 22″ carbon steel barrel has a heavy contour and a 1:9.25″ twist, and the muzzle is threaded for a brake or suppressor where legal. Savage button rifles its barrels and headspaces them with a barrel nut, which is a big part of its reputation for accuracy.
Stock and Fit
The od green and black aluminum chassis has a length of pull from 13.5″ (34.29 cm) to 14.5″ (36.83 cm).
Optics
The receiver is fitted with 1 piece, 20 moa bases. Pick a quality scope that suits the ranges you hunt.
