Savage Axis 2 XP Hardwood LH 223 22 Overview
The Axis II adds the user adjustable AccuTrigger to the proven Axis action, giving budget minded hunters a crisp, safe trigger and Savage accuracy at an entry level price. This version is the Axis 2 XP Hardwood in left hand.
Action and AccuTrigger
The bolt action is left handed and feeds from a detachable box magazine holding 4 rounds. The AccuTrigger lets you adjust the pull weight yourself, from about 2.5 lbs (40 ounces) to 6 lbs (96 ounces), and its AccuRelease blade helps prevent accidental discharge.
Barrel
The 22″ carbon steel barrel has a sporter contour and a 1:9″ twist. Savage button rifles its barrels and headspaces them with a barrel nut, which is a big part of its reputation for accuracy.
Stock and Fit
The brown hardwood sporter has a length of pull from 13.75″ (34.93 cm).
Optics
This package includes a 3-9×40 scope that comes mounted and bore sighted, so it is ready to hunt out of the box. Check zero at the range before the season.
