Description
The Savage 64 Precision 22 LR FDE 10-Round is a semi-automatic rimfire rifle with a 16.5-inch heavy carbon steel barrel, a flat dark earth synthetic chassis stock, a 10, and a -round detachable magazine. It weighs about 5.47 lbs.
Savage 64 Precision 22 LR FDE 10-Round Overview
Savage has built a reputation for accurate, dependable firearms at fair prices, and the 64 Precision continues that tradition with practical features that matter in the field and at the range. It is the kind of gun that earns a permanent place in the safe because it simply works, shot after shot, without fuss or expensive upgrades. The 22 LR is the most popular cartridge in the world for good reason: ammunition is affordable and easy to find, recoil is almost nonexistent, and it is quiet enough for plinking, squirrel hunting, and hours of practice.
Barrel and Action
The 16.5-inch heavy carbon steel barrel has a matte finish and a 1:16″ twist matched to 22 LR bullets. The heavier profile steadies the rifle and resists heat for tight groups from a rest. The muzzle is threaded for a muzzle device or suppressor where local law allows; suppressors are NFA items that require an approved ATF Form 4.
Stock and Fit
The flat dark earth synthetic chassis stock is built to handle real-world use, and synthetic material will not swell or warp in rain or humidity. Length of pull is 13.5″. Overall length is about 35.5″.
Sights and Optics
The rifle is ready for the sighting system that suits your use; check the specifications below for sights and mounting options.
Trigger
The factory trigger has a consistent, predictable pull that is easy to learn. Smooth trigger control and good fundamentals will let you get the most from this rifle.
Capacity and Handling
The 10-round detachable magazine loads easily and makes unloading quick and safe. Spare magazines make range days more productive.
In the Field
Rimfire guns often prefer one load over another, so try a few brands of 22 LR to find the one that groups best in your barrel. Pair it with a quality optic and a steady rest for the best results.
Key Features
Highlights from the factory spec sheet: Threaded muzzle (1/2-28); Detachable magazine (10-rnd or 20-rnd option); Drilled & tapped receiver with 1-piece 20 MOA rail; High-strength glass-filled nylon unibody; M-LOK compatible forend; AR compatible grip interface; Integral barricade stop.
Ownership and Value
A quality rimfire is one of the most useful guns a family can own. It teaches fundamentals, controls pests, fills the freezer with small game, and provides endless low-cost practice. Savage rimfires are known for accuracy that punches well above their price, and spare magazines, scope mounts, and accessories are easy to find.
Care and Cleaning
A little routine care keeps the Savage 64 Precision 22 LR FDE 10-Round running smoothly. After each outing, wipe down exposed metal, clean the bore, keep moving parts lightly lubricated, and store the gun in a dry place.
