Description
The Savage 64 F 22 LR Left Hand is a semi-automatic 22 LR rifle with a 21-inch carbon steel barrel, open sights, a 10-round detachable magazine, and a black synthetic stock. This version is built for left-handed shooters. At about 5 pounds, it is light, fun, and easy to shoot for plinkers, small-game hunters, and new shooters alike.
Savage 64 F 22 LR Left Hand Overview
Savage says ten rounds have never been so much fun, and the 64 F proves it. It combines Savage’s reputation for accuracy with a reliable straight-blowback semi-automatic action, the simplest and most dependable way to run a 22. With few moving parts, it is easy to clean and maintain, and it feeds a wide range of 22 LR ammunition. The left-hand layout puts the controls and ejection where lefties expect them, so they can shoot comfortably and safely.
21-Inch Barrel and Open Sights
The 21-inch carbon steel barrel has a blued satin finish and is balanced nicely to the stock. Open sights come installed for quick target acquisition and for teaching new shooters the basics of sight alignment. The longer barrel adds a little extra sight radius and steadiness compared to carbine-length rimfires.
Rugged Synthetic Stock
The synthetic stock is tough, lightweight, and weather resistant. It will not swell or crack from moisture and stands up to the bumps and scrapes of real-world use, whether you are walking a squirrel woods or tossing it in the truck for a day at the range.
Optics Ready
A grooved receiver accepts rimfire scope rings, so adding a compact scope or red dot is quick and easy. A modest scope can help tighten groups and stretch your effective range on small game.
10-Round Detachable Magazine
The rifle feeds from a 10-round detachable box magazine. Load spares before your range session so you can spend more time shooting, and remove the magazine to unload safely between strings.
A Great First Semi-Auto
Low recoil, a quiet report, and affordable ammunition make the 64 F an excellent rifle for learning and for families. It is equally at home knocking over cans in the backyard, punching paper, or taking squirrels and rabbits in season.
Care, Ammunition, and Accessories
Blowback rimfires run best when they are kept reasonably clean, so wipe down the bolt face and chamber after a long day of shooting and add a light coat of oil to the bolt rails. Most 22 LR rifles show a preference for one load, so try a few brands of standard and high-velocity ammunition and see which groups best and cycles most reliably. Spare magazines, a padded case, a sling, and a compact rimfire scope are smart first upgrades. With simple care, a Savage 64 will deliver years of dependable fun for the whole family, from the first lessons in the backyard to opening day of squirrel season.
