Ruger Mark IV Target 22LR Pistol

Description

Ruger Mark IV Target 22LR Pistol

The Ruger Mark IV Target is a rimfire pistol built for shooters who want serious accuracy without a steep learning curve. Chambered in 22 Long Rifle, this pistol pairs a 5.50-inch blued barrel with a 1:16-inch RH twist rate to deliver consistent, stable shot placement at the range. The steel frame provides a solid platform for repeated firing sessions, while the black checkered synthetic grip offers a secure hold in a variety of conditions. Whether you’re working on fundamentals or refining a competitive edge, this pistol is designed to keep every trigger pull predictable and every follow-up shot fast.

Beyond raw accuracy, this pistol is engineered for a smooth, low-maintenance ownership experience. The adjustable rear sight lets shooters dial in windage and elevation to match their preferred point of impact, while the receiver is drilled and tapped for a Weaver- or Picatinny-style rail, making optic mounting straightforward for anyone who wants to add a red dot down the line. An ergonomic bolt stop and an easy push-button magazine release keep the controls intuitive for shooters at any experience level. Two 10-round magazines ship with the pistol, so range sessions can continue with minimal downtime between reloads.

Key Features and Benefits

One of the most notable features of this Ruger design is the recessed button that allows the upper receiver to tilt up and off the grip frame without tools. This tool-free takedown system makes cleaning fast and hassle-free, which matters for a rimfire pistol that will see a steady diet of ammunition at the range. Instead of hunting for punches or special wrenches, shooters can break the pistol down in seconds, run a brush and solvent through the bore and action, and have it back together and ready to fire in minutes.

Precision starts with a good sighting system, and the adjustable rear sight on this pistol lets shooters fine-tune windage and elevation until point of aim matches point of impact. That kind of control matters when working on tight groups at the range. The receiver is also drilled and tapped for a Weaver- or Picatinny-style rail, so mounting a red dot or other optic is a simple bolt-on job rather than a trip to a gunsmith. An ergonomic bolt stop and a push-button magazine release round out a set of controls built for fast, confident handling.

Each pistol ships with two 10-round magazines, giving shooters enough capacity to run drills, plink, or work through a training session without constant reloading. At 34.4 ounces and 9.75 inches overall, the pistol is substantial enough to manage recoil and muzzle rise from a 22 Long Rifle cartridge while still being easy to carry to and from the range. The black checkered synthetic grip and matching black slide give the pistol a clean, purposeful look that pairs well with its functional design. Whether the goal is bullseye-style precision or building trigger time, this pistol is built to handle repeated use.
