Description
The Ruger LCP 380 Rose Gold Cerakote is a TALO special run of the original Ruger LCP, the pocket pistol that made the 380 Auto a mainstream carry cartridge. Model 13746 wraps the frame and slide in a rose gold Cerakote finish, keeps the classic 2.75-inch barrel and 6+1 capacity, and weighs under ten ounces empty.

Ruger LCP 380 Rose Gold Cerakote Overview
Ruger introduced the LCP (Lightweight Compact Pistol) in 2008 and it quickly became one of the best-selling concealed handguns in the country. It is a hammer-fired, double-action-only design: every trigger pull cocks and releases the internal hammer, so there is no manual safety to remember and no single-action mode. 82 inches wide. TALO lists this rose gold run as a production-ended model, so quantities are limited to what remains in the distribution channel.
Rose Gold Cerakote Finish
Cerakote is a thin ceramic-polymer coating that resists scratches, moisture and many solvents better than paint, which makes it a sensible choice on a pistol that will ride against the body. The rose gold color covers both the grip frame and the slide, giving a uniform look rather than the two-tone appearance of most colored pocket guns. Cerakote can still show wear at sharp edges after years of holster use, and it should be cleaned with products that are safe for coated finishes rather than harsh abrasive pastes.

Shooting the Original LCP
The integral sights are small bumps machined into the slide. They are adequate at typical self-defense distances but hard to pick up quickly, especially in low light, and they cannot be swapped. The long double-action-only trigger is heavier than a striker-fired pistol and is designed to be deliberate. A light 9.6-ounce gun in 380 Auto is snappy, and most owners find that practice sessions of 50 to 100 rounds are plenty. Shooters wanting better sights and a lighter trigger may prefer the LCP II or the LCP MAX, which build on the same concept.
Capacity and Magazines
Capacity is six rounds in the magazine plus one in the chamber. The pistol ships with a finger grip extension that adds a place for the little finger without making the gun noticeably larger. Extended 7-round magazines are available for range use. Note that original LCP magazines are not interchangeable with LCP II or LCP MAX magazines, so buy spares marked for the original LCP.

Concealment and Holsters
The original LCP has been on the market long enough that nearly every holster maker offers a pattern for it, from inside-the-waistband clips to ankle rigs. It is one of the most natural choices for pocket carry, provided it rides in a dedicated pocket holster that covers the trigger guard and keeps the gun oriented the same way every time. Keep the pocket free of keys, coins and other objects that could enter the trigger guard.
Ammunition and Reliability
The 380 Auto delivers less energy and penetration than 9mm, so choose modern defensive loads that are tested to penetrate adequately from short barrels, and confirm reliable feeding in your specific pistol before carrying. Practice ammunition is widely available, but 380 Auto often costs as much as or more than 9mm per round. Keep the gun clean and lightly lubricated, and replace the recoil spring when Ruger recommends to maintain dependable function.
State Laws and Ownership
Ruger lists the LCP family as not available in California or Massachusetts, and some other states and cities restrict or regulate handgun purchases through permits, rosters or waiting periods. Buyers are responsible for knowing the laws where they live, including rules on concealed carry permits and where carry is allowed. The receiving FFL will run the required background check before transfer.
